So who all is trying to get into the Generic program? Congrats to all the accelerated applicants on your interview and to those who haven't gotten one yet, hang in there, I'm sure yours is on its way. I am getting so frustrated bc Generic applicants STILL haven't heard about interviews and from the looks of it we won't be getting one for a while. I'm getting so impatient but I'm hoping that some people will decide not to go to UTMB bc they're taking so long lol. As terrible as that sounds. I'm praying for all of ya'll, and if ya'll don't mind, pray for my patience...i'm about to go insane!!!

I got an interview!!! It is this friday. Congrats to everyone else that got interviews. I am scheduled for 8:30am. To anyone who is still waiting for a letter check your spam box some people in the past had their emails go into their spam. Good luck to everyone!!

Congrats kdbsnhopeful!!! Katielou i am too applying for the generic program and am so anxious right now. But am hoping the samethin you are about people not wanting to go anymore nut not only in the generic but in BACC2 because those that dont make BACC are in our pool too. Keep your head up though, they say good things come to those who wait. It hasn't worked for me yet but maybe this time. LOL

I'm so happy so all for you who got interviews for the BACC2 program!I'm in the traditional BSN pool so unfortunately I'm still waiting for our decisions.Good luck you all on your interview this friday!

What should we wear to the interview? Should I dress professional, business casual, or nice jeans with a nice top?

I would NOT wear jeans.....you should dress as if you were going to a job interview. The waiting is killing me!!!!!! I am a traditional BSN applicant. I am about to pull my hair out over UTH-SON.....they screwed up my NET scores and then fixed them so I am playing the waiting game with them to. They mailed their final interview letters out yesterday so any day now I will know. Not to mention those people are SO RUDE. UTMB is my second choice but now I am wondering if it should be my first. Does anyone know if we have to commute from Houston everyday for 15 mos? I am wondering because I live in the Houston Med Center so I could literally walk to UTHSON. All the info sessions were full when I was available.

Sarah Ashley, I would dress professional. I remember at the info session someone asked what they should wear & I cant remember who was speaking but she said no jeans :)

Emag I believe I remember them saying that you get 2 days off during the mon-fri I think...Help!!!! Ms. Sealy do you remember??? Or I might be getting it confused with another nursing school, dont take my word on it. Its been since July since I went to the info session

Hope I am remembering this info accurately for UTMB...

At the Info sessions the students said: "the first 6-8 weeks they were on campus 3 to 3.5 days a week, but after that it was more like 2 days on campus and the clinicals were mostly in the Houston Medical Center area.

**The also have clinicals on the island, but they are reserved for students living on the island.***

Ok so another update to other BACC2 applicants. Some how 20-25 applications for BACC2 were just sent over. THese applications will be reviewed and those people will have interviews next week. You might want to check with the school if you have not received anything. I of coorifice am one of those 25 blahhhhhhhhhh!
