  1. No, she never responded to me either so I'm not sure how bad the lateral violence is. I am actually not going to accept the position so maybe they will give it to you! I just got offered another job that I am going to take.
  2. Sorry, I didn't see your first response. I'm assuming you have had your interview now, I hope it went well! I was offered a position in adult yesterday through email. What about you?
  3. Thanks for the warning! I'm going to send you a message to find out more details!!!
  4. Keep trying! I applied at Centennial over and over again without any response. One day out of the blue I got a call and now I work here. My only advice is don't be picky! It's more important to get experience and then you can move around if you don't like where you are.
  5. Definitely get your BSN. You will have more career opportunities that way. Most hospitals now days won't hire ADN or LPNs.
  6. Hi Everyone! I was wondering if anyone has been through the Perioperative Internship at Vanderbilt? Or is anyone currently applying for it? I am wanting to get information on the application/interview process. I have applied, but haven't received the email with the application...how long does it take for them to send it? Any information would help! Thanks!
  7. Han630, For the Bacc2 program you will probably go to campus about 3 times a week at the beginning of the semester and then about once a week once clinicals have started. They try to place students at hospitals close to where they live, but it depends on what is available. For the traditional program you will go to class about 3 times a week and have clinicals close to where you live. Hope this helps.
  8. Do we have to buy all of the Skyscape programs? I don't want to buy them if we aren't going to use them.
  9. I'm a Bacc2 and I didn't get a check. I filled out the FASFA and applied to get financial aid by a loan through UTMB. It'll be put into my bank account when the semester starts.
  10. I would say the drive between Galveston and the med center is about 45 minutes depending on traffic and whatever construction might be going on. I don't know how expensive it is to live around the medical center, but I would imagine that it is pretty pricey since it's downtown Houston and may not be as safe.
  11. Newport at Campeche is offering a special...half off for 6 months. Maybe that will help with your finances cjack15.
  12. Hey guys...if you're planning on moving to the island you should check out Newport at Campeche Cove! It is a really nice apartment complex at the west end of the island, very safe, and very clean!
  13. Nevermind...i found it. It wouldn't open on my computer, so I had to use my moms. http://www.son.utmb.edu/studentaffairs/current/documents/List%20of%20new%20student%20requirements.pdf
  14. I haven't purchased any supplies yet. I assume that everything we need will be available to us at orientation. What kind of shoes do we need to get? I couldn't find that online. Also, do we only wear orange scrubs?
  15. Hey Deb, How did you get your login information for the financial aid portal? I faxed in the sheet that requests access, but haven't heard anything.
