UTMB Spring 2010

Published

Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

That's were I'm curious too.If I knew the weight on each side it would be better to predict, but since you guys said they put the people who didn't make the BACC2 cut into the traditional for consideration,it makes our pool more competitive I would think.

OK, so the SON said we won't recieve interviews for at least another month and the number of applicants without BACC2 for the generic is 150. And PVAMU is already working on acceptance letters and their deadline was Oct.1,

I think it is because PVAMU does a first come first served basis selection. So they have been selecting applicants since July even though their deadline is Oct 1.

I turned in all my stuff for PVAMU on the deadline (October 1) because I was the last pool to take their NET test. I hope they still have room left for me.

This is crazy.I don't understand how they expect ppl get prepared for nursing school and make plans to relocate if we are accepted.Yeah I believe you because TWU's deadline was Sep 1st and we should already be getting are acceptance/denial letters by the end of this month in 3 weeks!

Hung, that first come first serve basis is based on that you have all of your classes completed, not still taking them

another month...i think i just lost my cool :smokin:

so, 150 for the bsn program and 50 for the bacc2. that's pretty good y'all.

and on the pv note... are you saying if you are not done with your pre requs, you shouldn't apply? because they take folks in first come first served based on all work being done?

Hung, that first come first serve basis is based on that you have all of your classes completed, not still taking them

Are you sure about that? If its true that its even better news for me, I am done with all my classes, I was really really worried that me turning my application on the last date was going to hurt me.

Yes, spoke to them two different times about, what they do is take the students that are finished with everything first, then they begin looking at the ones who has is taking the last of the classes. So if the ones who have taken all the classes fills up the spot then you just have to wait.

yes Ms Sealy, the lady told me today to not even be looking for interview letters for at least another month. I know, what the hey.

thanks jazzynurse2b..:wink2:

wow! Its ok guys, it gives us more time to focus on our school work (trying to think positive lol) :)

I was hoping for good news today, but I call SON today and I was told they are behind because they are having a problem receiving all of the applications from admissions so it's still going to be a couple more weeks until the traditional pool hears anything about interviews.

Yeah i doubt we will hear anything this month or even the beginning of November.Hang in there guys!

This is starting to get a bit ridiculous! I think that we should all get accepted just for being so patient. I'm sure we all will anyways bc by the time they send out acceptance letters everyone's already going to be committed to other schools or given up already lol. I am trying to be as optimistic as I can right now but I need to know if I'm moving or not. I don't really wanna live in Galveston bc apartments are terrible out there...and apartments in League City book up fast, which is where I'm trying to live. I'm about to start harrassing these people...I need to know something soon!! This is torture
