I think that it went pretty well I was the very last person they interviewed out of a group of 21 so that was the bad part but I hues it went well cause as I was leaving the woman who interviewed me said that I was really the only person who knew what a nurse does ! I think she liked the fact that I am currently working in the nursing field!!

I am sure everyone has heard by now that we will not be doing interviews tomorrow. I am so frustrated! They pushed our interviews to the 16th. This is crazy it has been 9 weeks since we all applied! I called today because I can not go to an interview on the 16th, I asked if I could go in the following Friday the 23rd. She said she thought I could because they may be extending the interviews to two days and that she would call me back. She did not call me back today so hopefully tomorrow. I have no idea what this means for those of you who applied for the traditional program. Maybe when she calls me back I can ask.

Ok, I heard back by email, so I couldn't ask anything. This is what the email said.

We will be interviewing on the 23rd for the Bacc2 program; however, we have not yet set up the calendar. Let me know if you have a preference for the time.

So I dont know if they will be interviewing for both traditionat and Bacc2. Sorry I know that doesn't help that much.

thanks for the info kdbsnhopeful...it's very helpful since utmb is interviewing you guys first..we can gage when they will get around to us...and it's starting to look more and more like that will be in early november.

Geeze Louise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well....I guess we have to patiently wait. I truly feel for you guys that are moving and are at a standstill....I would be losing it. Hang in there!

Yeah..I'm shocked at how calm I feel about everything. But the classes before all said the same thing..the admission process is slow and disorganized, but the wait is worth it! So I'm trusting this has no reflexion on the SON itself, just the admissions process. It gives me plenty of time to focus on my last 2 classes and how to answer the interview questions.

My lease is up in January and I will have to give a 30 day notice in December if I decide to move closer, so that too gives me plenty of time. The only thing that really concerns me is getting the financial aid in place.

Does anyone know how many people they are accepting for the traditional BSN and the BACC2 each in the spring?

i got my reply today as well...

we received 337 applications for both bsn programs. we will interview approximately 200. we plan to admit 60 bacc2 students and 70 traditional bsn students.

interviews will be held on selected dates in october. the first round of interview invitations will be issued next week.

Oh ok.I'm going crazy over here waiting and waiting. Who knows how much longer it's going to take for traditional BSN program to hear something since the incident with the AC slowed things down and the BACC2 interviews more.

Yep..and I'm wondering how many of those "200" that will get interviews, how many applied for the BACC2 vs Traditional BSN.
