UTMB FALL 2019

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

I think you should receive it shortly after its verified. I submitted my regular app close to Christmas, and it was verified the day after Christmas, and then I got the supplemental app email on January 2nd, and then the MyStar emails on January 4th. My supplemental app email may have taken longer to receive due to the school being closed for the holidays.

I believe these are the components to it:

Overall would be all of the college classes that you have taken.

Science GPA would include AP I and II, Micro, Chemistry, elective Science, and Nutrition.

Prereq GPA would be all of the prerequisites listed in the UTMB BSN website, which totals to 60 credits.

I have a feeling Wednesday will be the day. It'll mark exactly four weeks since the application closed! Also, last year emails were sent right at the 4-week mark. I expect to be spending a lot of time this week refreshing my email. I'll probably be keeping a close eye on this thread too, haha.

I noticed that too. My birthday is the 14th so I'm hoping for an early birthday surprise ? I'll be wearing out the refresh button until then ?

Are ya'll referring to emails about interviews or acceptance? NursingCAS finally verified my app on 2/7 so I still haven't even gotten the supplemental application direct from UTMB.. Frustrating but it's not in my hands!

From what I've seen on past threads, the 1st wave of interview emails typically goes out this week, and I believe there are 4 waves. I'm not 100% sure how far apart each wave is, but I want to say 2 weeks. I don't know about acceptance emails, other than past threads showing people getting early acceptance (acceptance w/o interview) emails around the end of February. I think after an interview, they say it will be 2-4 weeks before you hear back. But once again, this is just what I recall from older threads, not anything that I have personal knowledge of or experience with. You may try to call someone in admissions today to inquire about the supplemental application. Hopefully you get it soon! ?

From what I've heard interviews tend to go out first. Admits that don't require an interview will also start getting emails around this time. It's important to remember that UTMB likes to look at the whole person, not just scores, so it takes time for them to go through the crazy amount of applications. Expect notifications to be coming for the next 8 weeks.
