The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Hahaha, no worries! And I agree with yours as well ? I feel like emails are going to be trickling out for quite a while, so I'm settling in for a long waiting game.

Anyone who has not received the Supplemental application should call UTMB.

I keep on refreshing my email and checking my mystar from time to time. I literally checked it first thing in the morning ? I hope we hear something by tomorrow or soon at least.

Same!!! Luckily I'll be in class from 12-4 today which should be a nice distraction from checking ?

Same with me! I was so scared but I am glad it came in. I turned it in so I am just waiting for another letter at this point.

Good Morning!

Just wanted to say in advance congratz to the people who will get interview and acceptance emails in the coming days!

For those who don't hear today or this week please remember:

- Today might not be the day they are sending emails.

- You could be accepted without an interview based on your stats(which means no interview email)

- You might be in one of the later rounds of interviews(there are at least 4)

- They review applicants holistically so not having your ideal GPA and TEAS is no reason to give up hope

- If you do get a denial email that doesn't mean you should give up! UTMB is INCREDIBLY competitive. You can always try applying again for the spring or apply to other schools. If nursing is truly what you want to do you will find a way to get there! Everyone has different paths with different bumps in the road.

What is the criteria for early acceptance (acceptance without interview)? Any idea based on past threads or is it published on their website?

Usually It's people who meet the requirements for the honors program(can be found on website). From what I've seen people who are accepted without interviews generally have science and prereq GPAs of 3.8+ and TEAS scores of 88+. That doesn't guarantee you a spot though, because they also look at personal statements, and experience. It puts you in a really good position though.
