The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.
Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.
Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.
Good luck to all of us! :)
Hi guys! I haven't posted before, but I just wanted to leave my stats here in case they can help anyone in any way! I got my acceptance email without an interview on Thursday March 28th. I am currently finishing my bachelors degree in health and society at UT Austin with a minor in sociology and a certificate in children and health. This BSN would be a second degree for me.
Total TEAS: 93.3
Math: 96.9
Reading: 95.7
English: 91.7
Science: 89.4
Overall GPA: 3.69
Science GPA: 3.47 (got a C in chemistry freshman year that brought this down)
Related experience: volunteering and shadowing in high school, volunteering with a nurse educator at St. David's in college, being a healthy lifestyle intern at the Boys and Girls Clubs, and currently being a clinic technician at a pediatric therapy clinic.
I have my BLS Certification.
In my personal statement I addressed how I have learned to balance my responsibilities and how I have developed study skills and habits, which makes me confident in my abilities to succeed at UTMB.
I am finishing up microbiology right now. Besides that, all of my prereqs are done.
I applied on the day of the application deadline.
Congrats to everyone who got in!

I did! I think there may have been around 32 that were. If you go back a few pages on this thread, there was a groupme started for those who were accepted that you can join if you haven't already done so ?
