UTMB FALL 2019

Published

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Good luck to all of us! :)

for those who are making or have made another application for a different cycle, if we get an email for the supplemental application again, does that mean we dont have to resubmit everything to NCAS?

Hey guys! Congrats to those that were accepted! I wanted to repost my earlier post - now that some of you know you’ll be relocating to Galveston and might need an idea about housing.

I'm currently a third semester nursing student at UTMB. Let me know if you have any questions at all! I'm happy to help!

I will be looking for someone to take over my lease when I graduate this summer. I live close to campus in a private guest home. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. Laundry units included! Depending on the weather, sometimes I bike to campus which takes about 5 minutes and sometimes I drive which takes a total of 2 minutes! Rent is extremely affordable - it doesn't even compare to the cost of apartments in the area or even student housing! And not to mention it's a house; not an apartment! (which in my opinion is always better!)

Let me know if anyone might be interested and I can let you know more! Or even if you're not interested in housing but have questions about anything else, feel free to ask!

Also, as far as the Facebook page goes, they create one for you guys. Typically the students create a GroupMe and chats/gets to know everyone on there.

Hi, I’m really interested. Would you mind telling me how much you pay and how can I contact you? Tried to send you a direct message but wasn’t allowed

sorry if its already been stated in a previous post, but have denials been sent out yet? if not, whens an approximate timeline of when they will be sent?

They haven’t been sent out right now. If you like at summer 2019 there’s a day when ppl say they got a denial email. I just can’t remembed when. I didn’t interview till around October/ or November and found out I was waitlisted 2-3 weeks after that day.

Hey y'all so as of right now all conditional admissions offered were sent, they're sent in waves meaning the next round of emails/offers will be for interviews after that its denials. I've applied before to UTMB and was denied so I'm pretty familiar with it, also I called UTMB and thats what they told me. Hope this helps!

Hey! you can email me at [email protected] and I can give you more information, if you're interested!

Does anyone know around when they will be sending out interviews?

I just got my denial email, which I was low key expecting. MyStar still shows complete as my status so be on the lookout for an email if you think you're in the same boat as me. I last minute decided to apply to UTMB, like 3 days before the deadline, so i rushed to get my TEAS done and didn't do well on it, but I shot my shot! Will try again for Spring ?

Don't give up, your time will come.

Have you applied anywhere else? Have you completed all your prereq's?

Thank you! I applied to UTHealth Houston and I'm currently working on my Sam Houston application. I am also look to apply to Texas Woman's and UH for the Spring! I have faith that when it is meant to be it will be ? And I am finishing my last prereqs this semester at HCC! My GPA is decently competitive, 3.5+ across the different GPAs but i only got a 68 on the science portion of the TEAS and I knew that would hurt me!

I got a denial too :(. I’m definitely studying for the TEAS a lot harder this go round. Keep your head up! We got it next go round...hopefully lol ????
