UTMB FALL 2019

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

I will be looking for someone to take over my lease when I graduate this summer. I live close to campus in a private guest home. It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. Laundry units included! Depending on the weather, sometimes I bike to campus which takes about 5 minutes and sometimes I drive which takes a total of 2 minutes! Rent is extremely affordable - it doesn't even compare to the cost of apartments in the area or even student housing! And not to mention it's a house; not an apartment! (which in my opinion is always better!)

Let me know if anyone might be interested and I can let you know more! Or even if you're not interested in housing but have questions about anything else, feel free to ask!

Also, as far as the Facebook page goes, they create one for you guys. Typically the students create a GroupMe and chats/gets to know everyone on there.

does anyone know if they actually send out denial emails?

Hello everyone this is my second time applying to UTMB. I was put on the waitlist for summer 2019. Just to ease some of your stress they will still have a few rounds of interviews followed by more acceptances and denials. Yes they do send out denials. For those of you who will get put on the waitlist you can be accepted all the way up till orientation day and that has happened before. This is a long process and UTMB does an excellent job choosing their students. They look at multiple things and really take their time looking at everything. I went through the interview process and at that time UTMB became my first choice. Their staff is amazing.

Congrats to those who got early acceptance and to everyone else good luck because it is not over yet!

So does that mean that today only the people that got early acceptance received admission?? I still keep refreshing myStar to see if my status changes! I don't want to lose hope, but it's hard when everyone, or so it seems, has gotten their acceptance already! :(

I have this same problem!!! I got accepted to A&M as well and it starts May 28th so I'm just hoping we find out before then!

Traditionally they will start sending emails for interviews soon. I am assuming tomorrow. They will also send out the first round of denials on the same day. Unless they are doing things different this semester. Interview invites come out in a few different rounds. If you don't get an invite to interview till the third round it is most likely to be put on the waitlist. UTMB is unique because people will be getting accepted at different times. Yes there are a few times where there are large groups but after that people do get accepted individually. Try to be patient so that you are not distracted from this semester if you are still finishing classes.

Have you heard anything on summer? I was waitlisted as well. So I know the feeling!

Do acceptances without interview come out in waves or were all the people who are going to be accepted without interview notified today?

People got accepted without interviews but at the same time they were sending out emails to interview. It really depends. Usually the first round of interview gets admitted and then they move to the next group and then the next. There’s really no set denial/acceptance. If you don’t receive an email in the mass denial emails they send out within one day then you have a chance to be accepted or waitlisted.

sorry if its already been stated in a previous post, but have denials been sent out yet? if not, whens an approximate timeline of when they will be sent?
