Sorry I didn't want this post to get mixed up with the other thread haha it's so long.
Anyways wondering if anyone else applied for the Spring 09. Im also wondering if its worth buying the study guide for the TEAS that they are selling and what kind of questions they ask you in the interview.
I'm so nervous because mine is coming up!
-Thanks Duc
I just got accepted as well. But in the Accelerated track. I may back out though and just go Generic, so those who didnt get accelerated, don't fret. :wink2:
I got accepted into the accelerated track too. I'm staying in the accelerated, God willing. In the back of my mind I'm always a little worried about my husband losing his job since he's the only one working now and the economy is in the dumps. I think if I know I can finish a few months earlier, it will probably keep me from worrying about this so much. Either path you choose, good luck to you and congrats!
About the electives, are you talking about nursing electives? I sure hope so given that I have a whole degree of electives! Congrats to everyone, especially those who got into the accelerated. I wish I had, but beggars can be choosers!
Is anyone waiting to hear from other schools as well?
Congrats tea leaf. Are you going into the generic or accelerated program?
i got into the accelerated.
for the electives, i think that if you are in normal track, you need 9 hours of nursing electives. for accelerated, you only need 3 hours of nursing electives b/c they let you transfer in 6 upper division hours from your previous degree. you might want to check to make sure. i read about this a long time ago.
it seems like the only bad part about the accelerated is the summer semester b/c summer semesters are shorter so courses are "accelerated". i think that the other 3 semesters are exactly the same as the normal track. i would think that accelerated ppl in our class catch up and graduate w/ppl who started the normal track in fall 08.
anyway, i'm still waiting for an interview from utmb in galveston.

I have a feeling after the end of the first semester you may be very happy to have that free time for doing nothing. If you can afford to not work, I say kick back and enjoy yourself during the summer months.
