UTHSCSA - UT Health Science Center San Antonio - Spring 09

Published

Sorry I didn't want this post to get mixed up with the other thread haha it's so long.

Anyways wondering if anyone else applied for the Spring 09. Im also wondering if its worth buying the study guide for the TEAS that they are selling and what kind of questions they ask you in the interview.

I'm so nervous because mine is coming up!

-Thanks Duc

Well, maybe since there are 31 days in October and technically mid october would be Oct. 15.5, they round up. So maybe we will get it tomorrow, Oct. 16.

Does anyone know whether if they send both acceptance and denial letters out at the same time?

I've always heard that they send them out together.

I'm sure they meant mid-October as a range. The only reason I'm expecting something this week is because someone had posted that letters would be mailed last week, but just because that was their goal, doesn't mean it actually happened that way. I kinda wish I hadn't heard that...makes me more anxious every day I come home. Otherwise, I think the early 20's still fall into the mid-Oct category.

I'm usually so patient with these things!

I was thinking that people who live in SA might get theirs a day before those of us who live out of town. Anyone on here actually live in SA right now?? Let us know when you get your letters!

i called the school today. they said that the letters were sent this past monday.

wait hold on. don't mean to confuse anybody (including myself) now that i think about it, i called the school and asked the lady "when will decision letters be sent out?" and her response was "on monday". i spent the day interpreting that as: letters were sent this past monday. now that i think about it, she could have meant that letters WILL be sent this coming monday (oct 20). :banghead:

I spoke to them on tuesday because i thought they had my wrong address. They transferred me to the registars office and she said: " we send rejection letters first" I know 2 other ppl who already got their letters of rejection last friday or saturday. As of tuesday she said they had not sent out acceptance letters yet. So no news is not bad news. GOOD luck to all yall. Hope that makes yall feel a little better

Wow this sort of makes me not want to check my mail anymore... i just updated all my vaccinations other than the 3rd shot of Heb B.... and I guess its bittersweet cuz we didnt get letters but the waiting is killing me also! Probably b/c UTMB is my other school and I don't know whats happening there..

Yaya

Were the people you know that got rejection letters applying for the LVN-BSN flex process? I remember you posting about that before, and didn't think they were admitting for LVN flex anymore, but I reread the site and maybe Spring is the last time they are admitting for it?? I ask because if that's the program you have info for, it may be different from what most of us are applying for. I know I'm just applying for the generic BSN program. But at this point I hope your info applies to all of us! And even if it doesn't apply to us, it looks good for you to get in. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for ya!

That info is for everyone applying for Spring 09. The two people I know who didnt get in were applying for the generic program. Yeah you're right the flex lvn-rn wont be open anymore as of fall 09, but this upcoming semester (spring 09) is the last chance for us to get in. ( Us the lvns) I'm still stressed out though i wish they would just let us know already! I wish you the best too! :wink2:

Well Yaya, I'll bet you're in, and lucky since its the last time they're taking LVNs for a while at least:) How long is the flex program? And thanks for clarifying that the info applies to everyone. I didn't want to get my hopes up if it didn't. (still don't wanna get them up, but I can't help it!!)

Were the people who got rejection letters interviewed? I was just wondering if those people who were never offered an interview are just now getting rejection letters.

I didn't even think that people who didn't get interviews got rejection letters at all. I figured if you didn't get an interview you knew you didn't get in. But that was just an assumption on my part, so who knows?
