UTHSCSA - UT Health Science Center San Antonio - Spring 09

Published

Sorry I didn't want this post to get mixed up with the other thread haha it's so long.

Anyways wondering if anyone else applied for the Spring 09. Im also wondering if its worth buying the study guide for the TEAS that they are selling and what kind of questions they ask you in the interview.

I'm so nervous because mine is coming up!

-Thanks Duc

I just got my registration packet and I think I registered. I am not sure if I did it correctly.

PS - I just got bumped into the accelerated program!!!!! Pookster, keep your fingers crossed, your next!

Yay, congrats RFS! I'm not keeping my fingers crossed on the accelerated thing.

I'm worried about my titer coming back negative too. That would NOT be fun, stressing to get those 2 shots in time.

Oh and I got my registration packet too. I was expecting to get it 2 days after everyone else, like my acceptance letter.

Did everybody register yet? I was just wondering how it went. Kinda confusing with all the different websites, but I think I did. I never saw an option for online courses (which I wasnt interested in anyway).

I registered. It was a little confusing. There are a ton of websites. I only registered for 3 classes (4 including the clinical). Does anyone know if we have to register for skills lab??

Also, does anyone know the email servers? I use apple mail and cant seem to get it set up. It is exchange.something? If you use outlook or endura, it is the same information.

Does anyone know what parking is like on campus? Is it hard to get parking permits?

RFS parking didn't seem so bad when I went there for the interview haha but who knows.. Also the applie mail.. when i figure that out i'll let you know.. GO MACS! I wonder if we will run into any problems using our macbooks... hmmm

As for registering... Looking at the program plan its just going to be these 3 classes we are taking along with the clinical? for a total of 13 hrs? Im sort of confused.....

The clinical is TBA so I am guessing they will give us our clinical schedules later on. As far as the parking goes, I was told by a current student that we have to park off campus and take a shuttle bus our first semester.

Hey! So it sounds like alot of you have been registering already...I was under the impression that I couln't register until I turned in all my immunization stuff and turned in my final transcript (I'm still in class). Have you all just finished everything already or am I wrong??

Once you turn in your immunization record you will be able to register whether or not your final transcript is turned in.

About the parking--My first few months at UTHSCSA when I was working there, I parked in Lot 17 and rode the shuttle. It wasn't bad. I don't ever remember it being so crowded that I couldn't find a spot. But, I was always there before 8 am.

Lily if you look at your holds online, it will show you what all is preventing you from registering. Like UTHSC-hopeful said, my account shows that all I need to take care of is my immunization records. I just got my varicella titer back (high immunity, yay) so I have all my stuff together to get my doctor to fill out the form. So I'm not registered just yet. Don't worry, you're not the only one.

Does anybody know anything about the required training email you get in your email account?? Something from the Knowledge Center for your Web Orientation?

Yeah I saw that but I figured since no one said anything to use about it... it wasn't our obligation but who knows...

Gave up on trying to use apple mail with that thing sigh i got a headache from this sickness haha
