I know it's a little early, as applications are due until July 7, 2011, but I'm excited already and want to hear from others applying for the Spring 2012 semester. Anyone submit their application yet or in the process of submitting?

I turned my admissions dwn today. So there is another spot available for those that are still waiting.

So did everyone else get the info about the computers? I'm kind of lost as to how I'm going to come up with the money to pay for any of the computers we have to select from. (I mean come on... the "cheapest" is $1300. o__O) Especially because I just purchased a Macbook in January. :confused: I mean, if we get Fin. Aid it'll cover it... but we'll still need to pay for it before orientation. *sigh*

Im a female and was looking into moving closer to the school before the semester starts but I want a roommate. Are there any females here that may already live close and have a room available? So far I'm not having any luck with the roommate listing on the uthsc housing page. The rooms are already taken.

We have till Jan to pay for the laptop...have you done your FAFSA yet? I too have a perfectly good laptop, but will have to buy another.

Why did you do that?

Since I already have a degree decided that going to UTMB accelerated program would be a better choice.

Yeah. I know that. It's just for a single mom like me that only works part-time... it's hard to save money to pay for that especially when I have bills to pay. And I still haven't gotten the fin aid from Alamo Colleges for this semester, so that doesn't really help.

Idk. I won't complain. I'll just figure something out.

I hear ya. I'm waiting for FA from SAC too. Was excited to get in to UTHSCSA, but need to figure out how I'm gonna pay for it all...it will work out. We are meant to do this, there will be a way. :-)

If you read the deadlines at the bottom of the form, the payment dates are by Dec. 28 If paid by mail and Jan. 4 if paid in person. I was on the financial aid website and it looks like FA is ready by Jan. 2. So we should be okay, but please anyone correct me if my assumptions are wrong. I picked the laptop that is already worked into the financial aid package that way I know it's covered.

Also, a note to those who are still having their SAC FA still being worked on... I had to physically go up to NVC and have someone look at my file to get my FA this month (They had been working on it since April!). I had my money within 5 days after going down there. Also, if they awarded you money for the Spring, you have to go down and fill out paperwork to have them retract it. If you don't, UTHSCSA won't be able to access your FAFSA.
