UTHSCSA Spring 2012

I know it's a little early, as applications are due until July 7, 2011, but I'm excited already and want to hear from others applying for the Spring 2012 semester. Anyone submit their application yet or in the process of submitting?

I got the e-mail while I was at work around 5:30-ish (my last name starts with "W") when I randomly checked my phone and I literally jumped up and down screaming. Lol.

Does anyone know where we can take our immunization shots. I have no health insurance. Can we go to any clinic or hospital for our shots?

I live in Dallas so I'm not sure about San Antonio but around here the local health dept offers most if not all the immunizations for $20 each. I'd look there!

@jolener31: I called the Student Health Clinic and they suggested calling Metro Health at 210-207-8872 to inquire about immunizations. Also, if you want to find of about insurance coverage through the school, you can call United Health Care at 888-344-6105.

@CristinaL: You are from Dallas!?! I just moved to SA from Arlington to go to UTHSCSA! I'm glad to see a fellow North Texan!

I am! I'm actually at UNT now finishing up some classes but I'vebeen wanting a change of scenery for awhile now so I only applied to schools that weren't in this area lol (except for TWU as back up). I'm still waiting to hear back from a few more schools, but it's nice to know I wouldn't be the only one not from SA if I do end up there!

I got my first degree from TWU! It's a great school, if you decide to stay in Denton. I moved here over the summer and I like it so far, but I have to admit I miss the Metroplex. I'm actually going next weekend to catch the end of The Fair.

It must be nice for you to have options. I kind of put all of my eggs in one basket and was really stressing out with all the waiting this past couple of weeks. You can't imagine how relieved I was when I got my acceptance yesterday!

So if anyone saw the deadlines, UTHSCSA wants transcripts by Dec 9th, no exceptions. Well, I have two finals on Dec 8th at NVC and there is nooooo way they are gonna get a transcript out the same day. Anyone else running into that problem??
