I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

Hi everyone! I have applied for both Summer & Fall 2016 at UTHealth. I am currently finishing up my lasts few pre-requs this semester (Philosophy, Government, Art Appreciation and Speech/Kinesiology for my AS). I just wanted to leave a comment here, so I could follow the thread :)

I called UT yesterday to ask about transcript evaluations, I was told that it is simply a courtesy and it is not a requirement for acceptance. Also, the evaluations are processed in order by submission date, which is why some get one and other don't and still get accepted/denied. I talked with her for a little and she said they haven't finished sending out/processing dates from mid-'15.
Heyo, I just got my transcript evals today...didn't call or email or anything. All it is is a couple pages telling you your 3 GPAs, which classes applied to which per-requisites and what pre-reqs you have/not satisfied. Sent my application about a week before the 1/15 deadline. I'm a bit concerned because I changed majors halfway through and my previous coursework was not stellar by any means, I failed 1 class and had to drop 5 others and you're only allowed to drop 5 throughout your entire undergrad career regardless of if you switch schools/majors and somewhere on UTMB's website it said a competitive applicant will not have dropped no more than 2 classes.
Got my eval today too! Does anyone how picky they are for transfer credits? They gave me credit for 1 English Comp with AP credit but didnt give me credit for my 2nd english credit for my other AP Eng. I got 5s on both and they both showed up on my transcript, but somehow I only got credit for one.
