I have seen various threads for previous applicants that applied to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I was not able to find a thread for UTHSC Fall 2016 applicants so I decided to start one. If a thread already exists, I am sorry. I will also be applying to TWU-Houston and UTMB. I know the process is stressful, so I will try to make it easier. I will be attending the May 22 info session at UT and the May 28 one at TWU. I will be sure to update any information discussed in the sessions for those who are not able to attend. If there are any previous applicants, or current and previous students, I would appreciate if you could join and share your experience in the school as well as your application process.

I also submitted my application like 2-3 weeks before the deadline and haven't received a thing. I suppose I haven't because some courses are still in progress and my to do list is still showing that I need to send my complete transcript. I'm not sure if that's the reason for not receiving an evaluation yet.
Also just an FYI, it says the evaluation was run on February 1st even though I just received it in the mail on Feb. 22nd. I never requested an evaluation of any kind, they just sent me one
Hi all! I am also a Fall 2016 hopeful, patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for news. I think I get more anxious as each day passes! I applied back in mid-December and have not yet received a transcript evaluation either. I keep hoping one will arrive so I can put my mind at ease that everything transferred and was credited appropriately; I guess I'll just have to have faith. Hopefully, we'll start getting some news in the next few weeks and not have to wait until April 15th. Best of luck to everyone!!
I realize this is for a different school but I feel like it's the same for most schools more or less. It's really unfortunate that we should be punished for taking longer than most to realize what they want to do. My previous major has nothing to do with nursing so I don't think I should be punished for performing poorly in things nurses aren't expected to excel in such as upper level engineering courses. Luckily utmb has a personal statement so I had a chance to explain that but I doubt they'll let it slide and uthsc only looks at grades so it looks like I won't ever be able to get in.

I'm still finishing up two nursing pre-reqs and my bachelor's degree at UH. Wishing the best of luck to all applicants! Looking forward to sharing this experience with you all as we wait for late March/early April!! :)

I haven't gotten an evaluation for this fall application but got one for the summer application period.
