  1. Hey guys! I got conditionally accepted. My interview was on the 25th. I logged into mystar and it said on my todo list that I had to take American government. It wasn't there last I checked like a week or so ago. I took the ap in hs and it shows up on my transcript in nursingcas so I'm wondering if this happened to anyone else?
  2. I just got one as well! Wished they gave more heads up, my manager wants a two week heads up when I need to request a day off and the interview sessions are only until the 25th at least for this round of interviews.
  3. I think they only sent denials to those who didn't meet the minimum requirements for gpa and pre-reqs. Then they prob rank the qualified apps by merit and interview the best apps first and continue down the list. Eventually they'll stop once they have enough people who accepted so if you're low on the list you prob won't get denied immediately but you're still likely to get denied unless everyone above you bombs their interview or chooses not to go. Thats just my theory, I don't have any reasons or sources other than that's what makes sense.
  4. Does anyone know how they determine which wave of interviews someone is in? Do they do the best candidates first or is it random?
  5. http://nursing.utmb.edu/future-students/academic-programs/bsn-program/am-i-a-competive-applicant.pdf I realize this is for a different school but I feel like it's the same for most schools more or less. It's really unfortunate that we should be punished for taking longer than most to realize what they want to do. My previous major has nothing to do with nursing so I don't think I should be punished for performing poorly in things nurses aren't expected to excel in such as upper level engineering courses. Luckily utmb has a personal statement so I had a chance to explain that but I doubt they'll let it slide and uthsc only looks at grades so it looks like I won't ever be able to get in.
  6. Heyo, I just got my transcript evals today...didn't call or email or anything. All it is is a couple pages telling you your 3 GPAs, which classes applied to which per-requisites and what pre-reqs you have/not satisfied. Sent my application about a week before the 1/15 deadline. I'm a bit concerned because I changed majors halfway through and my previous coursework was not stellar by any means, I failed 1 class and had to drop 5 others and you're only allowed to drop 5 throughout your entire undergrad career regardless of if you switch schools/majors and somewhere on UTMB's website it said a competitive applicant will not have dropped no more than 2 classes. Anyway, here are my stats: Hesi: 90.4 Overall: 3.34 Pre-req: 3.84 Pre-req Science: 3.88
