Houston Methodist recently upped GN pay to $29.50 (was $28.50). However, I'm not sure it's the same for Houston Methodist in TMC (probably the same if not higher).

I think some of it might depend on the organization/company you are interviewing for and the demand/availability of positions. I am a new grad, interviewed with a great health system in my area. Some hospitals for the same organization required a minimum 3.2 GPA for GN positions (cuts off a certain amount of applicants), while some of their other locations required at least a 3.0. Same applies for requesting to see the transcripts - some required a copy while others didn't. And I saw similar requirements from other hospital systems. With little-to-no hospital experience in the medical field, most big hospitals use GPA as a tool for their selection process. But once you get some RN experience under your belt they won't care what your GPA was! Congratulations for graduating and good luck on your job search!

Nobody I know that applied has heard from Harris health yet... according to friends that applied last semester, they started their interview/selection process very late, like people didn't start getting offers until November/December (even after graduation)

Anybody that got hired with Houston Methodist know the specifics about the night shift differential pay rate? And if there's a weekend differential? Thanks in advance!

The hiring event for HCA last week, was that for May graduates only, or anybody?

Well, bummed to say I won't be moving forward with Memorial Hermann, but good luck to everyone else!

Hi! For those that interviewed at MH-SW and interviewed with medsurg, did anyone happen to get their names/positions. With my nerves and making sure our time didn't run over I didn't get to ask for business cards or write it down I also emailed the recruiter but she hasn't responded. Help!

I haven't and don't know anyone who has. Wish most of these hospitals would at least send out denial emails or something. Has anyone heard anything from Harris health?

Awesome thanks!! I'm going to try to get a hold of the recruiter. I requested that my application be moved from the Feb start to summer start so wonder if that has anything to do with it. And congrats on the offer from Memorial Hermann!! So exciting!! Makes me nervous about next week. I hope I do as well as you!
