Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

I agree! This is very confusing.

my Most recent vaccine history is not even sing by a physician. The only ones that have a signature are the ones when I was a kid.

So today I have been officially denied. 2nd time applying, I guess I'll just have to repeat the torturous cycle again for fall. Congrats to everyone and for those who were waitlisted, miracles do happen

Same here. Ahhh well. I have three applications out for the fall semester (including UTH again).

The lot next to the school is tiny! It is not for us to use on a daily basis, and it is EXPENSIVE.

Denied too, but I feel I'm better prepared for that response at this point than to handle the feelings of excitement and elation if I were accepted. Congrats to all that were accepted and best of luck!

Are we able to get our scrubs from anywhere or do they need to be a particular brand apart from being navy blue?

And what kind of stethoscope do we need? They have cardiac, lightweight, classic, etc!

Received my denial notification today like many others. Debating whether or not to re-take the HESI before Fall deadline or if it's even worth applying. It seems if Fall is the most difficult semester to get accepted and I was flat out denied for Summer is there really a chance of getting accepted for Fall.

Yeah I have to admit, although I know it's competitive, I was pretty surprised I did not get in. My GPA and HESI scores are pretty good.
