UTHSC Summer 2017

Published

Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

I was wondering if someone can shed some light on clinicals?

We don't start clinical rotation till June 29

My main question is how many days out of the week will you be in clinicals?

My main question is how many days out of the week will you be in clinicals?

Only 1 day of the week. Depending on where you get placed it'll either be Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

Does anyone have advice for people that are reallyy anxious during labs/check offs/clinical settings? :( Hate comparing myself to everyone else but sometimes I feel so clueless. Everything is going by so fast!

Hi! Sorry for the dumb question, does anyone know if psych is counted in the sciences or if it is just micro, chem, and ap 1&2? Tia!

Hi, my overall gpa is 3.4 and hesi is 84.9, do you think i have a chance on getting it?

For those that have been accepted into the program, where any of your classes in progress when you got accepted? I applied for the summer 2018 pacesetter program but my chemistry lab is still in progress so UT told me it will continue to show on my to do list. I just want to know if it affects your chances of getting into the program.

Thank you

Many people have been accepted with classes in progress (myself included). Just submit an updated transcript when your lab is finished before the program starts, and you'll be fine. Good Luck!
