Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Are you able to print at school and is it free?

You are able to print at school, but it is not free.

You have to buy a print card, but the machine for it is in the same room as the printers.

I'm cirrently studying for Hesi and will test 6.22...Application is currently in process and tips?

Does anyone know if we are allowed to buy the items from the black bag separately & is it true that we only need the foley catheter for the first semester?

Practice timing yourself on practice test so you don't run out of time on the real HESI

My understanding is we can buy foley cath, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope separately and all the meds and saline come with the bag. If you order a bag with extras (stethoscope, etc) as a bundle it will be ready for pick up at orientation. Hope this helps!

I got mine after I was accepted but my friend applying for fall just got her transcript evaluation and still waiting to hear if accepted.

Does everyone need to buy the HA Lab Manual and is it okay if we rent that?

Do you recommend buying the new editions of Saunders/Hesi Review books or are older versions okay?

Do we need to have our scrubs for the first week of classes?
