Alvin is a 50min drive for me. So is San Jac Central. Hey, does anyone know if Alvin's ADN program is straight through...or do they have summers off? I know San Jac is pretty much continuous, with a December break.

I know. I went to a nursing orientation (San Jac) yesterday where we had to buy uniforms and supplies. We have 10 business days to cancel...so I'm hoping I hear good news from Alvin and UT soon. If not, I have HCC and San Jac to fall back on...thank goodness. I've been applying to schools for a while now.

Is this to show completion of courses that were in progress (IP) at the time you submitted your application?

I see. Well, I was also denied. Twice. What percentage of male applicants were accepted because of AA? What were their scores/GPA compared to female applicants. In cohorts of the past, what percentage were male vs. female, white vs. non-white, etc? These are all rhetorical questions, of course. If, for example, you have somewhere around 1200 applicants and 120 seats to fill, AA may play a role in the selection process, but I'm not so sure it plays a SIGNIFICANT role. In my opinion, it's all just conjecture with no firm evidence.

What does affirmative action have to do with lower scores?
