Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Just got another transcript evaluation today. So to all those that are applying for spring '16, I think it's safe to say that you might be getting yours soon too. :-)

What is a transcript evaluation? My status says complete but I have no idea what yall are talking about with the evaluation.

Does everyone have their shot records? I don't think I have mine. What do we do about that? Does anyone know of a way to prove / how much it costs? Thanks!!

If you don't have your shot records, you can go to your doctor to have titer tests done. For those who don't have a doctor or insurance yet, Walgreens with the clinics inside do titer tests and physicals too. I'm not sure what their prices are though.

I forgot to mention this website. Just go under the Tests and Pricing tab and look for the test you want to have done.

@kmiguez - their transcript evaluations are simply: "a course by course evaluation of your transcript(s) to assist you in tracking your progress toward completion of the prerequisite course requirements."

It will have your GPA scores based on what classes transferred, the list of classes & grades that transferred, any in progress classes that may have been on your transcript, and any classes that aren't being considered.

From reading past threads, some students get accepted without getting one. Yours may well be on its way. You can always email them and ask they send you one? Maybe just say you'd like to know what classes are being considered and what not... Hope this helps.

I received another transcript evaluation today as well. Nothing really changed except for them counting a class as an elective that wasn't counted before. I think that I already have a love/hate relationship with mail from UTHSC :inlove:/:mad: I love to see it in the box but get half sick walking back towards the house with it.

I need to take a huge internet break and try to find a hobby for a few weeks. We all know we won't !:no:

That sucks b/c on my HESI i scored 98 in Math, 98 in Grammar, 96 in Vocab, 96 in Reading Comp, 950 on Critical Thinking, BUT a 72 in A&P :banghead:!!!! My overall GPA isn't great, got a 3.0 and my science GPA is 4.0! I hope they overlook my AP score and overall GPA.

My stats are sooo similar to yours. I was still taking A&P when I took the HESI but everything else looks great. I even got A's in A&P. I also have a degree in Biochemistry. Guess we wait and see how they look at everything.

Hello, pls I am new in this thread and I just need to know if I have any chances at all with Uth or should I start applying all over again. My nursing prerequisite: 3.629 GPA, Nursing prerequisite: 3.5, previous undergraduate 3.2 GPA.

maths 84%

do I even have a chance or just start another semester application because I missed my second chance to retake. I am so nervous. Does anyone know of any nursing school program still open for me to apply for 2016. I can't do ADN program cos I intend to use BSN ultimately to apply for nursing anesthesiology which why I declined my acceptance into the lone star ADN program last year.Pls kindly advice. I am determined to do anything

Hey guys I thought I'd leave my stats to help future applicants.

HESI over all- 88.80%

Math— 92%

Reading— 90%

A&P— 92%

Vocab— 92%

Grammar— 78%

CT— 750

GPA 3.7

SCIENCE GPA 3.75

I just passed CT with the recommended score. I don't know why I didn't think that it was important during the test. IT IS!!

I didn't have much time left to finish CT so I finished it fast not knowing that the minimum recommended score is 750.

What do you guys think?
