UT Houston BSN-DNP Fall 2019 PMHNP (Cizik SON)
For those who got accepted. I was emailed on July 6th with an acceptance email. So how long did it take for the admission status on MyUTH to change? Mine still says "Application Under Review" I know there is a certain amount of time they give you to complete/submit requirements so that's why I ask.

@LovelyElly I got In!!! That took forever! The title of the email was "interview results" and I definitely thought it was a rejection letter. I'm so excited!

UT Houston BSN-DNP Fall 2019 PMHNP (Cizik SON)
@LovelyElly Hi I did interview a week ago and she said that they will let us know within 2 weeks. No word back yet! fingers crossed! I got into TWU just in case my plans don't work out, but I would like to get back into UTHealth. @hope2015 you can see it through MYUTH (I had to call because I never got an email with my login information). it took them a month to get back to me with an interview invitation. I applied May 8th and they got back with me on June 5th.

Dallas TWU Fall 2020 FNP
AnotherMurse, My friend went to the Houston FNP program and she told me that she did have to look for her own clinical sites. I think they just help you in getting an appropriate clinical placement.

UT Houston BSN-DNP Fall 2019 PMHNP (Cizik SON)
Hi, I am applying to the BSN to DNP in FNP for Fall 2020 and I just submitted all of my application requirements. I was hoping to get some insight as to what questions they ask in the interview from anyone that might have already interviewed. Any help would be appreciated!

UTHSC Houston Cizik School of Nursing MSN AGPCNP Fall 2020
Hello all, I am applying to the MSN in AGPCNP at UTHealth Cizik school of nursing as a part time student. I have been a RN for 2.5 years and have worked on a transplant/medsurg floor in the TMC. I graduated with my BSN at UTHSC Houston August 2017. I really enjoy being a bedside nurse but I have an itch to go back to school. I'm making this so we can all have some idea of how they admit students. Last I saw the deadline for Fall 2020 is June 15th. I am waiting for two more of my recommendation letters and will finish up my resume and I'll be ready to submit. I also know that they do interviews for basically all MSN programs. If anyone has any info please feel free to reply.

Dallas TWU Fall 2020 FNP
Hi all, I applied to the AGPCNP Houston location for Fall 2020 and noticed that it said accepted. Did any of yall get an email about the acceptance? I am trying to get access to the TWU email now to see if they sent anything there. And isn't it rather early to be accepted?

Yes!!! I remember your username too. I'm so happy for you! I would suggest to get immunizations done ASAP with the required list, which you can find online at uth.edu. It helps out a lot towards the start of the semester because you have to constantly call to get things updated and such. And YES, apply for financial aid now!!! I need to do that too for next semester. As for the background check, I would wait for their instructions or call them to see if they have changed the procedure. Look under new student (https://nursing.uth.edu/currstudent/new/) and this page will give you most of the info you need to know. I personally found out most of what my class needed to do by going to the new admit day. OH, and know what titers you need for proof regardless of shot record. For sure I would: apply for financial aid, complete BLS CPR, Immunizations, health insurance (because school insurance is expensive ~1k/semester), and living arrangements. The rest you can wait or call UT SON because I'm not sure if y'all have to do anything different. If didn't answer parts of your question please let me know. And so far my experience is AWESOME!!! It is definitely hard but TOTALLY doable with dedication. We are about to start clinical so I'm nervous but excited about that. The teachers are great as well especially patho teachers. They have a thing called Senior buddies and that helps a lot. My S1 buddy is so helpful. And there are so many tutoring sessions to go to plus 1 on 1 tutoring. I'm sure you will love it too. I know what you mean about it hitting you every hour. It probably hit me every minute HAHAHA
