UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

@michellemarie21 my to do list also still has items on it. However; my status shows complete.

Will you be taking classes this fall? They have both my hesi score (not on to do list) and transcript (still on my to do list because I have classes in progress) but my status still says incomplete... I'm wondering if I should contact them regarding the incomplete status. The 15th will be here before we know it!

@Winemo I'm in your same boat. I have tried letting them know but they have not said anything about if it will ever turn to complete. If you know anything let us know!

@winemo I have no classes. When I applied Fall 2015 I was still taking classes and my status said incomplete the whole time. As long as they are waiting on your in progress classes transcripts will remain on to do list and your status will remain incomplete. I know it is scary to see that but they most likely have everything they need for you. Im not good at just going with the flow so I called and made sure; and they told me not to worry. I'm sure you are the same; so I wouldn't worry but a phone call can't hurt if it makes you feel better! ;) we all got this!!!

Thank you for replying Isizemore2015! You literally lowered down my stress level a notch or two lol. That totally makes sense. I'm the same way so I'll probably give them a quick call or email to ask about it. I know I'm risking a lot by only applying to 1 program, so I might as well make sure I do everything right on my end, and if I don't get in this go around I don't want it to be for things that could have been fixed/corrected. Good luck to you on this go around and good luck to everyone else participating in this thread...And to those who are only reading as well! hi guys!!! 5 more days till the deadline I AM SO NERVOUS NOW!!!!

Has anyone had issues logging in? I haven't been able to log-in to MY UTH in over a week and now I am freaking out! I wanted to see if they received my HESI scores :/ Does anyone here use a Macbook, and if so, which browser do you use to log-in? I tried Firefox and Safari (I was able to log in with Safari before, but now I haven't! :( )

On another note, GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU GUYS APPLYING!!! :D I'm sure we are going to go crazy with this waiting game, but at least we can do it together !!!! :D :D

I'm using safari and it works fine n my MacBook. Try updating everything and make sure you look up the password they sent with the email. If not you can use your phone too.

This happened to me a while back and it turns out my account had been locked so I contacted the IT department and they unlocked it for me

I just got off of the phone with the registrars office. They made a change to my transcript Eval and counted a class that wasn't counted as an elective so now I only have the 2 classes that I am currently enrolled in for the fall. YAY! She did say that they hadn't pulled the HESI scores from last month yet so I wouldn't be to worried if it is still on your to do list. She was very nice and helpful about it all. I'm surprised. I would be pulling my hair out if I had her job this week! Maybe she gets hazard pay? :)

I called the IT dept, apparently my account was locked, so they unlocked it for me, and I was able to log in!😊 thanks guys for your help!

Hey everyone. I am applying to UTHSC for Spring 2016. I have a gpa of 3.38 and I received a 86.4 on my HESI with a 890 critical thinking score. Is there anyway I'll get in with those stats? Goodluck everyone! :)

Hi Kmiguez, welcome!! Honestly there is no rhyme or rhythm as to who gets accepted and denied. There are people who will or will not get in with lower scores/gpa and there are people who seem to have perfect scores/gpa's that will get denied or accepted. Seriously, I've spent countless hours reading through old threads and trying to compare my stats to see where I stand with people who have been accepted/denied and its just not worth it. I think that at this point all we can do is have faith, we've all worked extremely hard to get to this point and no matter what happens we just have to remain positive and know that it will all eventually work out in our favor. hey guys! could you guys give me examples of what classes you have taken for your 5 credit hours of electives required? I have a SPCH 1318 class i took, (Interpersonal Communication), I'm pretty sure that can be counted as an elective? :) I'm not sure what else to take, what did you guys take?? help! :wacky:
