UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

@Spagh3tti the day I went probably like 1/5 of the auditorium raised their hands. It was a full house.

Think I went to that one as well and yes it was packed haha. I think our thread has a little less activity than previous semesters so hopefully that is in our favor! Does anybody remember one of the ladies saying they were going to allow some leeway with sending transcripts after the deadline for those of us finishing up summer classes? I believe that was what was said; however, I am a little scared to chance it so I may just pay to send my transcript without the class that I am taking now and pay again to send it later once the grade is posted. Ugh. decisions..decisions. Don't understand why transcripts are so expensive!

@jmarg4 I would send your transcript! From what I understand, they give preference to those with the most credit hours or above 40 or 45.

Hi jmarg4. Yes the advisor yesterday said she will allow up until Sept the 1st for summer transcripts to come in. So no worries. Just make sure to request your transcript as soon as classes are over for you. :-)

Yesterday was about 80% full and less than a dozen hands for spring 2016. There were a lot more hands up for fall 2016.

Are transcript evaluations emailed or posted to myuth? I have yet to receive one and my application says incomplete with both my hesi and transcripts on my to do list. I've turned in everything, and despite some people saying it's just slow to update, I'm still worried. Applications are due in 5 days! Is there a number I can call to double check everything is in rather than wait for an email that may not get to me until after the deadline?

@michellemarie21 my to do list also still has items on it. However; my status shows complete. Check your status and hopefully it says complete! If not I don't know a number for you, sorry :(

secondly my transcript evaluation came in the mail. I didn't request it; I just got it. Hope I helped a little!!

Have your tried emailing them at [email protected]... Otherwise maybe try one of these numbers..I got once but I don't remember which number (sorry!). Good luck!
