UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

@bryanv, I am missing a class also which I will be taking this fall. I think you are okay, I spoke with the registrar and she said that as long as you are still completing classes that it will remain incomplete and that transcript will remain on your to do list. I would just call/email to confirm

Hey guys! So I am really anxious about the program.

Here's my gpa (calculated my recent grades for all their prerequisites)

overall gpa: 3.52

science gpa: 3.75

I took my HESI today. got most of them 80s except vocab which I got 74. I got 840 for my critical thinking.UTHealth requires 75 so I don't know if I can retake it in time since the deadline is on Aug 15. Any advice would be appreciated

@mhortillosa I don't think there's a time restriction as far as how soon you could retake it, but I do know that as long as you take it before the deadline then you're good (that's what the lady at the registrars office told me)... I'm retaking mine on Monday.

Can somebody else confirm if they would have to wait a 30day period or something?? Otherwise I'd register again and check what days/times they have available!

From what I can recall from a previous posting there is no waiting period, so you are good to retake. Good luck.

Hey everyone, if you took your HESI while ago and still have not had them updated in the system PLEASE get a hold of someone and make sure things are okay. I took my HESI on June 26th and just emailed admissions and they said that they have not received my scores. I took my test at a testing center under UTHealth's code so my scores should have been sent automatically. Now I am scrambling trying to figure out what is going on. Deadline is in a week so I am kinda freaked out lol

@bryanv, It was on my to-do list but I never really paid it much attention I just assumed I was okay and it was due to the higher number of scores they needed to process. I would email just to be on the safe side
