Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!
I've not repeated a class so I'm not 100% sure but someone at the meeting said that they take your highest grade in that class. I think they do the same for electives. Hopefully someone can tell you for sure. What is everyone showing as an elective on their evaluations?
When did u submit your transcripts?
After summer I semester. Maybe the first week of July? I don't think that it means anything positive or negative though. I am glad though. I thought they would count something as an elective and they did not. I'll have to take something in the fall to cover that,I just don't know what?
I was just wondering because I hadn't received one yet and I did my application and sent my things the last week in june
Hey jketron05 congrats again on your updated hesi scores! Bringing up A&P to a 100 is a big win! May I ask what you used to study for it? Any tips? Also, your CT score is still good. From reading past threads I think ct scores in the 8-hundreds were more common.
As far as electives: for me they're counting human sexuality as one, for the other I plan on getting credit for a language class. That's an option you could consider...or maybe a biology class, another psyc class... I really wanted to take psychology of adjustment, but the schedule won't work for me. Good luck! Just make sure it's not a computer or medical terminology class!
Hi Krysleann84. Can you please tell me who you emailed, because I have spoken with 2 advisors and neither have yet to update my account. It's so frustrating.
I emailed [email protected] but someone named Patricia Rico emailed me back and was the one that said she updated it.

I did find a few anatomy things on quizlet that helped. I think it was HESI A2 A&P Review. I tried to just study overall concepts instead of going into detail. I actually thought that I had missed 2. The Elsavier Ed. 3 study guide was my biggest asset. With the exception of the grammar section I felt like about 80% of what I was asked was in that book.
Do you think that the economics class will count as an elective?

Awesome thanks! I'll keep using those to review..it's hard to not feel like I should study everything I possibly can lol.
As far as the elective, I honestly don't see why not. They said that as long as it's a college course (not workforce courses that CC offer) then it's okay. For reassurance I would probably phone them or email Ms. Rico. She seems to be the person that answers to transfer/hesi related questions.
Is anyone still taking prerequisites this Fall? My application status says that it is incomplete and this is due to not having Ethics done as a Phil prerequisite. I hope they notice that I am still working on one more class. Im just freaking out about it.
I'm a current student and even though I still needed prereqs when I was applying, it said my application was complete. Just make sure you sent all your information and they received it before the deadline

Someone in my chemistry class said that they knew of 2 people that took the hesi and there scores were different from what they thought they saw while testing. Maybe I had the 90 in A&P confused with vocab? I'm not sure.
Those of you that have taken it understand :) I was just as nervous and full of adrenaline walking out as I was walking in. It was a lot less stressful the second time but I still freaked out a little because if I failed a section I could never retake it.
