UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Yay! @147nataly ☺️ now the waiting game

Very true.

I still do, but I talked to them and they have my score. I took my test on June 25th.

Same here, but it would be nice if they updated the site to reflect accordingly. :-)

I also took it in June and as of yesterday it was still on my to do list....either way I've decided to retake it in hopes to improve my score. I spoke with the lady at the registrars office and she said as long as you take it before the deadline then it's okay. I think what messed me up was taking too much time in the math portion. I didn't start using the calculator until the last few questions. If I would have used it I would have had more time to go through the rest of the subjects. My score was 86 overall. Reading and grammar 82, Vocab 86, AP 88, math 92, and 890 in CT. My gpa as of now is 3.91 overall/nursing and 4.0 sciences. Hoping for a better score this 2nd time around!

I emailed someone and they verified my scores were there and updated the record at the same time.

I wonder if I should email them also. I took my HESI back in June and my scores are still pending on my account

Hi Krysleann84. Can you please tell me who you emailed, because I have spoken with 2 advisors and neither have yet to update my account. It's so frustrating.

Everyone stressing? Me too!

I received my transcript evaluation today. I was so excited to see that everything transferred fine (except the in progress). I also want to say that when I finally got the email from evolve with my retest scores. It wasn't a 94 overall, it was a 96! My critical thinking was a little lower than my previous but I'm ok with that :(

I will post the breakdown as soon as I print it out. Is there a way to just post a picture of it?

@jketron05, dang! Awesome scores girl!! Congrats. I haven't recieved a transcript eval but maybe it's because I am still missing one transcript which I'll be sending next week? Not sure if that's why but I hope so.

Way to go jketron05. That's a super score!

Just curious though is this your 2nd transcript evaluation? I had a recent transcript sent a few weeks ago, but haven't yet received a updated transcript evaluation.

This was my first evaluation. I probably will not receive another since my summer II classes will not post until after the deadline.

@jmarg4 I bet that is why. I only transferred from one school (lonestar) so it's probably easier for them.

My Hesi :

Reading Comprehension-96

Grammer-94

Math-100

A&P-100

Vocabulary-90

CT-went from a 900 to an 820 :(

Per Transcript Eval:

GPA-3.94

Science-4.0

Guys, I really feel like I have done everything that I can do. I just learned that Sam Houston and PV expect you to be core complete. PV told me that someone complete with a 3.0 will get in before I will be looked at :( Now I am down to UTHSC. Of coorifice, it's always been my number one but we all know how competitive it is.

I should've done this a long time ago! I just turned 33 this past weekend :( It's time for me to get it together lol

hey quick question.. (hope it hasn't been answered yet). Do they let you pick the classes you want to use as your pre reqs. For example if you took a class twice and your second score was better do you get to pick the one that is calculated in you GPA?
