Hello friends!

I'm creating this as a communication board for new students/applicants to talk on about:

  • Current GPA -- science & overall
  • Requirements needed to apply
  • HESI test requirements
  • Applications -- status or general info
  • Acceptance!

A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)

I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!

Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

Well I look forward to meeting all of you!!!! Good luck!!!! :inlove:

indeed it is! I wasnt sure so i called like 3 times to make sure that it wasnt an error. I wonder how long we have to accept/decline the offer.

Congrats to everyone! I wish the best for you all!

I also received the admitted student day and scholarship email but my UTH portal still shows complete and haven't receive admittance letter yet. What is your UTH status now?

Mine also says complete í ½í¸…

I just spoke to Joann Mendoza regarding BSN pacesetter spring 2017 acceptance and she stated that acceptance that were sent out was for RN-BSN program. Pacesetter decisions has NOT been sent out yet and will be address on Nov 15th. With everyone who recieved an acceptance email/via UT portal , mentioning their stats and prior experience does not seem to be RN's with an AA degree. I am totally confused

wow very confused...I dont think I can afford to wait till Nov 15th since I'm studying for the TEAS to apply for other schools with January deadlines. WOW again:down:

Congrats to everyone who go in

So the official decisions for spring 2017 will not be announced until November 15? I got an email that I was waitlisted and do not understand why because I thought my grades and test scores would be fine. Do they pick people based on something else other than grades?

woohoo!!!!!!!! congrats and WELCOME TO THE LONGHORN FAMMMM.

HOOK EM!!!!

If I havent received any emails regarding acceptance or waitlist should I already expect rejection? My profile on myUTH still is a green circle that says "complete"...
