Hello friends!

I'm creating this as a communication board for new students/applicants to talk on about:

  • Current GPA -- science & overall
  • Requirements needed to apply
  • HESI test requirements
  • Applications -- status or general info
  • Acceptance!

A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)

I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!

Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

Well I look forward to meeting all of you!!!! Good luck!!!! :inlove:

Hey guys so i am left with a chemistry lab course that i need to complete. HCC doesnt have any chem courses for the winter mini. Anybody have any ideas where i can take this class? Please help.

@KeyP I'm taking chemistry with lab hybrid at Lonestar college

I would check the hybrid if UTH would accept

As far as I know chemistry is not offered in a mini

Hello everyone , this is my first post on here. I applied for the spring and I just found out that they never received my hesi transcript. They told me to send it in and I did but the deadline is almost here and I doubt they will get it in time. That was really disappointing . Congratulation to the ones who got accepted to the program and good luck to everyone else

I called to ask about the wait list and they straight up lie

That NO acceptance were sent out for pacesetter

God this process is so messed up

It is messed up. My sister got in the summer 2016 program after getting wait listed. Her scores were higher than others and they got in but she was waitlisted. It seems like they have it set up like a lottery or something. Really doesn't make sense

Specializes in IMCU/PCU.

Has anyone gotten a rejection e-mail or letter yet?

In the hybrid version You actually do have class and labs each week lol it's just once or twice a week depending on the schedule. I also took micro hybrid (same set up) and UTH did take it.

Its for people who can self teach themselves. Which I for the most part can.

@wickedstar 21 hybrid where? And when? I just need to get a class, i can teach myself. Problem is im looking at Lone star, san jac hcc none of them have this class at this time.

@KeyP lonestar cyfair with Hui Tan. She gives Tuesdays (which I'm in) or saturday classes.

@wickedstar, sorry to bug you with so many questions. But isnt this for the fall 2016? Because i think its kinda late for me to register for it. As in haven't you guys already had several tests and stuff?

No It will be for spring 2017

Thank you for your help @wickedstar21. Il go to lone star first thing in the morning and see about getting that class.
