A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)
I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!
Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

I have submitted my application, but it shows "incomplete" under application status. Is this because my actual application was incomplete, or because they have not received other documentation yet? Anyone having this issue? I'm a bit freaked out because I want to make sure all my "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed.
Check your to-do list. It's because they are awaiting documentation/ processing paperwork like transcripts still. I have outstanding coursework still being completed (Nutrition, Micro, AP II) so they said mine will continue to show incomplete, but everything is ok.
I know! I wish there was a way to know what they have received and what they haven't. I cannot just go by the "to-do" list because there is nothing on there, when I know I still have to take the HESI
I just got off the phone with the school. They are still working on Fall Registration! They have not looked at Spring Applications yet. Also, this means they have not begun to work on transcript evaluations yet for Spring Candidates.
LaurATX Are you completely done with your pre-reqs? I'm wondering if they only send evals once you've completed your pre-reqs.
I'm retaking chemistry over the summer, but I'm done with all of the other pre-reqs. That probably is why I received my eval so early! Sorry, didn't mean to freak anyone out! :)
Lol Thanks for keeping us updated. It's helpful to see where other people are in the process. I'm halfway through a 5 week A&P II course & still have micro & Chem to take in the fall, so I'm interested to see if I'll get one at all.
I also have pre-reqs in progress....I am taking statistics online now over the summer and I am registered for Intro to Ethics (for philosophy) in the fall. I also registered for Chemistry for fall since I am worried they may not accept my Chem class from 1991
I just wish something would move off my To Do list..... or that they would answer my emails.....
Oh well! The reason they gave that they are working on Fall registration does make sense.
