I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.
One of the girls I work with will be graduating from the UTA AP program next Month and said that the first semester is $7000. Has anyone else heard this?
Tuition is $350 per credit hour for upper division nursing courses. So for J1, we have to take 12 hours = $4,200. And then add up other expenses you might have.

This was not my experience. It was less. I won't indicate how much less, but it was quite a bit less. The reason I won't indicate is that your tuition per hour will be different from me. I've been in the AP program since 2010 taking pre-requisites and such, so my per hour rate is less than if you were to be accepted into it today. Some of the things that you'll have to buy above and beyond tuition are the books (e-books or e-books w/printed book bundles), the Skyscape software (some did not buy it JR1), nursing kit (must buy), and scrubs.
BTW, someone else asked this, but yes, you can buy your scrubs from where ever you wish, as long as they meet the school's specifications. The only thing for the scrubs you can't buy anywhere but the UTA Bookstore is the patch that you'll have to sew on the top and lab coat (if you are inclined to buy it - I wasn't).
Hope this helps,
