    UTA Fall 2013

Hi Sarahw2 There are so many community colleges that offer Govt classes online and they are pretty cheap, you don't have to live in that state to take those classes as they are online. Have you tried Dallas County Community Colleges, or New Mexico Junior College? Great schools and very cheap tuition too. There are so many others, just do some searching on google, loads to choose from. Good Luck
  5. Hi ChiChiMungo Exactly what Woodsyny said. The credits readily transfer to all nursing schools, so no problems there. I only heard recently that the classes have become a little harder, other than that, no problems

Hi There!!! I'm in Houston and in cohort 9, but in Bayshore, just like Violach and many others. We could all still form a study group though, maybe meet halfway or something? Where do you live?

    UTA Fall 2013

Np at all :-) Also, I found this list in another post, it's for some of the clinical locations: THR Dallas (Presbyterian) THR Arlington Memorial TBD (THR) TBD (THR) Baylor Medical Center Parkland & Dallas Children’s John peter Smith (JPS) & Cook Children’s HCA Plano St. Elizabeth (Beaumont) then in Houston they have: Bayshore in Pasadena and Brazozport in Lake Jackson, for this semester anyway, it may change when you're ready to start

    UTA Fall 2013

@ bamfabsnmsnnp I do believe that you will have no problem getting into the program as you already have a Masters degree and real world experience, I got in with an MHA as main consideration. And taking your prereqs at DCCCD is a good idea, plus saves you money at the same time ;-) Also, the partner hospital list is given by the clinical instructor, or your advisor may know earlier on, and inform you, it depends. Being waitlisted just puts candidates on the list to be called if someone who was accepted decides to go to school elsewhere, otherwise you'll be reevaluated with the next application period. Hope this helps. And oh, the "considerations" are: 1) previous degree 2) 30 hours or more at UTA 3) And hospital partnership All the best!!!

    UTA Fall 2013

Hi Bryt Lol. I hear you, I did the exact same thing 2 years ago when I took 10 classes (4 sciences included) in the Fall of 2011) and found it to be effective in keeping myself on track. Good job!!

    UTA Fall 2013

Wow! You have to pay for testing? That sucks. So testing will take place at the facilities where we're having our clinicals? Also, check next page, there's another student from Austin, maybe you both can share a place. Good Luck!!

Hi I'm in Houston though. So there there's no other location nearer to you where they can place you? Wow, that is a looonnng drive. But your plan is a good one, coming to Houston the day before. Good Luck!!
