  1. Congrats on both!! The nursing program is very difficult but becoming a nurse makes it all worth it. That hard work and those days where you just can't hold back the tears will all be worth it. I graduated in May and feel like I can support my family like I never could before. I must say with working and having my son who is just about to turn two made life at that times hard but I wouldn't change it for the world. This is a good time to go too because your child will be so young that you won't miss too many special moments as when they are older. *You will miss some but try to imagine all the future moments you will get to be apart of because you worked hard to get through the program* I saw my friends with older kids miss out on a lot (graduations, first dances, baseball practices/games etc.) and it broke their heart. You can do this! Just think of the end results. :) Like Danilu said above, get a planner and stay organized!! Find study groups. Utilize quizlet. Getting through nursing school is going to required a lot of support. Find your support system and cherish them. Don't take time for granted. And most importantly take time for yourself. YOU GOT THIS AND ONCE AGAIN, CONGRATS!!
  2. From my understanding, today was the last day for interviews. I had mine today and thought the first portion which were behavioral questions went well then during the case study there wasn't much feedback just a lot of listening and writing from the panel. I was wondering if others and the same experience during their interview. Good luck to all and hopefully we will hear at the end of the week.
  3. My friend and I got a call for an interview. Keep your phones by people!
  4. Nor have I but maybe they didn't even go into the office today due to weather.
  5. Did the person who called you give say anything in regards to how many applicants there were?
  6. Congrats on the interview. Keep hope alive!!
  7. I have just completed my application. I hope someone on the website can enlighten us with advice.
  8. I just found out of this program. I will graduate in May 2015 with my BSN. I want to further my education and become a NP. What is the process in order to apply? I see that the application period is currently closed. Does anyone know when they will be open again?
  9. Trust me on this. The CON has different "minimums" each application period. It all depends on what the overall group for that application period have. They always want the top. You sound competitive to me because that it what I basically had but I didn't get in until my third time applying. I got waitlisted the first two times because the average for those first two periods were people who had mostly all considerations and 3.7 overall G.P.A's and higher plus 3.5 and higher science GPA's. At this point just enjoy your time until you find out because there isn't much you can do but bug admission counselors that won't be able to tell you much because of policies. I'm a JR.1 student in the academic partnership program. It has been a long journey to get here but has been wonderful since I got in. They really focus on each person succeeding as long as you put in the work. Stay positive and relax!!
  10. Congrats!! I work for Cooks as well. What department are you from?
  11. I sure am! Only a few days left til the first though.
  12. Could someone email her to see if maybe she can open up blackboard early?
