UTA BSN SPRING 2018

I'm just curious about the fingerprint email some got already. It's interesting. Has anyone else here applied at another time and got the fingerprint email before? I know we all need to do it, but so soon? Also I've been on a previous application forum here and this new one for spring 18 doesn't seem so busy. I wonder if not a lot of people applied to spring 18? Idk. Just thinking out loud lol

I got my fingerprints done last summer but I didn't get the email until notifications were sent out. I'm not sure why they are sending them out so early.

Not sure, for fall it was:

Brazosport, Lake Jackson

Conroe,

And HCA Bayshore/East Houston

No wonder they can only accept a handful of applicants in the Houston area. I'm guessing all the other schools that are based in Houston take the majority of clinical spots, then UTA gets what is leftover.

Per the email I got back in April, for spring 2018 it says chi st Luke's brazo, Hca Clearlake and methodist willowbrook

I am so glad that I found this post!! I also applied to the online spring 2018 program. Looking at all these awesome GPA scores has me totally nervous. My GPA is 3.57 and science GPA is 3.25. Im really worried that it's not going to be good enough to get in. And about the fingerprinting email that some have received: what is that about? I had fingerprinting done a few years ago with another college...maybe that's why I didn't get an email yet?

Yeah, maybe so. I did mine about 2 weeks ago, but hadn't had them done before. They were linked with my social, so if you did that, I would assume they are in a system somewhere, especially if yours were for a similar program???

If you were fingerprinted from the TXBON for another program at anytime, then you WILL NOT RECEIVE THE FINGERPRINT EMAIL. I did not receive it either as I had already come up in the system as complete when my name was submitted.

Also, some people are getting fingerprinted earlier if they have already taken Intro to Nursing. They changed the method to the madness and started submitting names earlier last year, regardless if people were admitted or not. So, it's not a deal breaker... and I promise you it's totally random. I saw many people last year fingerprinted on the waitlist, that never came off the waitlist. I did not receive the fingerprint email, but did receive an offer of admission.
