UTA BSN SPRING 2018

Published

Hi everyone, so i decided to go ahead and open up a forum for the 2018 spring start date. I know it might be early but hey everyone including me will have questions and become quite worried on getting in.

Since when does UTA require the TEAS?

Where did see that? I haven't heard anything about it.

It's on the website. Any students who apply after the Fall 2017 cohort is required to submit the Teas scores.

I had to take the HESI exam with UTA, other colleges do require the TEAS. They are both similar exams.

I took the Hesi as well and was planning on applying with those scores. But, per their website, I will have to submit TEAS scores with my application.

As long as you were already enrolled prior to fall semester you can use hesi scores.

Well that sucks, I haven't even applied to the school yet so I guess I'll be taking the TEAS.

I've applied for Spring 2018. Hoping for online but I also applied for on-campus. My biggest fear is that I will be accepted into the on-campus program and waitlisted for the online and I will have to choose to either accept the on-campus for certainty or take a chance at being removed from the waitlist for the online program.

I'm currently taking summer Patho with my final next weekend. Unless I bomb it I should come out with an A. Then I will have Microbiology and Pharmacology in the fall to finish out my pre-reqs. I had to retake Chem and Anatomy I because I made Cs in them when I originally took them in undergrad.

Overall GPA: 3.60

Science GPA: 4.0

HESI: 96

Extra consideration: prior bachelor's degree

Looks like people have been waitlisted and/or rejected with these grades so I'm not feeling too confident about my chances.

I have also applied for admission for Spring 2018 online in Houston. Reading these posts have me worried..... I didn't know that they took into account your GPA from the previous institution until recently. I made about half A's and B's in undergrad for my previous degree that I earned in 2005. Currently taking Patho and just finished Micro, both with As depending upon patho final..

Overall GPA: around a 3.5 (would be a 4.0 if they didn't take into account classes I took 16 years ago!)

Science GPA: 4.0

HESI: 96

Extra considerations: prior bachelor's degree and 12 or more nursing lower division at UTA

Im really freaking out now that I'm seeing everyones stats. I applied for the Spring 2018. My overall GPA is 2.98 and Science is 3.0... I really dont think that I will make it. I do have considerations.. over 20hrs at UTA. So.. I'm just wondering if yall could guide me into the right direction in applying for different schools. I am trying to take somethink online or minimal class time because I do work full time with 2 children and a husband. Or something where I could manage these things.

is anyone taking classes this semester

Yes, Pharm & Dev. Psych

If this year is anything like last we are ~2 weeks away from a decision.
