Hi everyone, so i decided to go ahead and open up a forum for the 2018 spring start date. I know it might be early but hey everyone including me will have questions and become quite worried on getting in.
Hey, I hope everyone is doing good, I also wanted to post my stats to see what you guys think my chances of getting in the Spring UTA campus-based nursing program.
Overall GPA: 3.78
Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS: Proficient
I will be taking PATHO, PHARM, INTRO TO NURS, and MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY fall next semester at UTA and I am applying for the spring.
I don't have considerations but would the 12 hours that I am taking at UTA next fall be considered a consideration?
No, it's 12 hours in Science by the time of the application due date.
I think your grades are fine, but are you sure about all of those classes together at once?
I took Patho, Pharm, and Medical Terminology, had similar scores (3.76) and I got in off the waitlist, but I struggled that semester... Patho and Pharm were both a lot of work.
Thank you for answering my question,
I think I can manage to take those classes at once... I don't really have a choice. If by any chance, I get accepted, I would have to have those classes completed before I get in the program and I wouldn't have to maintain an A, which is a lot harder than just passing.
Of course, unless I split them into two semesters but I don't want to wait an extra semester and plus, I receive financial aid and they require at least 12 hours per semester so I would have to take extra unnecessary classes.
What do you guys mean by being partnered? I am finishing up my pre-reqs at TCC currently with a overall GPA of 4.0 & about a 4.0 in science, i havent taken my HESI nor have I done pharmo or any of the pre-reqs that UTA requires.. I already tried to apply to UTA but reading all of this makes me realize i so need so much more to even think before applying someone pls help me

Not sure that there is anywhere to see the average scores, there isn't even an average score for gpa, as the considerations and partnerships play a big role!
