Hi everyone, so i decided to go ahead and open up a forum for the 2018 spring start date. I know it might be early but hey everyone including me will have questions and become quite worried on getting in.
Advice please...
I received an "admitted" email today. My transcript eval shows my patho and pharm are expired so I will need to retake those. Also at the bottom of the transcript eval it doesn't show any numerical info regarding TEAS or HESI. Is it correct to say that I will need to re-take the patho/pharm and submit for the Upper Level because I'm only entered as a Lower Level Division at this time?
Thanks in Advance! :)
I'll most likely apply again...this will be my 3rd attempt. I've had all my pre-requisites complete for over a year now, so just applying where I can now. I've been wait listed the two previous times. Also been denied at a few other schools. My overall GPA is what's hurting me. I have B's in several of my classes such as Psych & Sociology from 20+ years ago. My stats are:Overall GPA: 3.4
Sciences GPA: 3.75
Hesi:
Math: 98
Vocab: 98
Reading: 96
Grammer: 92
I have 2 considerations.
@Brandon,
When you initially applied and were waitlisted, were you automatically listed as approved for Lower-Division and had to apply for Upper-Level. I'm just a bit confused on the process. I rec's an "admitted" but wasn't sure if that was just the Lower Div. at this time.
Thanks

Not exactly sure what you're asking. I initially started classes at UTA Fall 2015 and the first cohort I applied to was Fall 2016. The first few semesters I repeated a couple sciences that I took over 15 years ago and also took Patho, Pharm & Med. Terminology since they are required. I have taken 40 hours at UTA since starting, and all those hours were taken between Fall 2015 & Fall 2016.

hey Shrn18,
Most everyone on here is completing Patho and Pharm by this semester (if not already completed) and any lower level courses for admittance into the Upper Division Program (starting coursework and clinicals January 2018) After acceptance to the university, you have to do a Supplemental Application in MyMav to apply for the Upper Division. Hope this helps.
Since you have to retake Patho/Pharm I would assume that you were admitted to the Lower Division (Nursing Intended) Program and will need to reapply for the semester that you will have completed all of your Prereqs plus patho and pharm.
I'm sorry if that is incorrect but that's what I'm getting from your post.

Hi a2theg!
Yes, this is exactly what I was wondering. Thank you for your response. I did receive the Lower Div (intended) email. So is it required to take the Patho/Pharm through UTA or can this be done at any community college? Another year seems like a long time to wait to be able to begin the upper level. Just considering other options.

I got a "complete" email last week and did my fingerprints last week as well.
