Hello All,
I am currently in the process of trying to get into the UT Houston Summer 2010 Accelerated program. I am not sure if there is a thread already started. But if there is not one I would like to start one. Hopefully we can use this thread and keep up with one another. Who else is hoping to get into UT Houston's Summer 2010 Accelerated program?
So I am sooo excited about the interview but I dont know what to do...
That is my husbands homecoming day from Germany (he is Army). He is very understanding and says I should just go to the interview, we were thinking if I have to reschedule then will they already think "oh she already has to reschedule so she will not be dependable" My GPA is not as high as others so I dont want to do anything to lower my chances even more. What would you do?
Hi there and Happy New Year! Congratulations to everyone who has received an interview letter. I'm really bummed right now because I haven't received one. But, still hoping! I was just wondering...for those of you who did receive a letter, would you be willing to share your stats? Specifically, NET scores. My GPA's are good but I had a low reading score on the NET. Just trying to figure out if that will keep me from getting in. Best of luck to all!
Hello KJW2010, I got an interview letter last Saturday. My stats are as follows:
Pre Reqs- 4.0
Science Pre Reqs- 4.0
NET:
Math 100
Reading 76
The reading portion of the NET was highly stressful for me (lack of time & nerves) and I didn't think I managed to pass the 70 mark. It brought my composite down to an 88 but it was sufficient enough to at least get me an interview.
Good Luck!
Thanks so much for the information! I have:
Nursing pre-req's = 3.92
Science pre-req's = 4.0 but.....
Net math = 93
Net reading = 70
I did not attend an information session, but according to many posts on here the minimum Net is 70. I'm wondering now if they've ever taken anyone with exactly a 70.
Bach09 - after pouring over many posts on here in search of all good advice, I think you will be fine. Just be confident in yourself at your interview. As for changing the date, it probably wouldn't hurt to call and ask your exact question to the people there. Surely they would be understanding of your situation. In any case, best of luck!!!!!
Hi! Congrats to everyone that have received their interview letters. I have not gotten a letter yet, but I'm wondering if it has something to do with when my application was complete.
I was in the process of taking a few classes during the fall semester, and my application wasn't complete until Dec. 18th. I was told it was fine to have a few in-progress courses as long as everything else was turned in. To those that have received letters, at what date were your applications complete?
Thanks!
