UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

Published

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

i'm getting kind of worried about my utlink not changing....is anyone else feeling the same or am i just being weird?

im the other way around, no email yet :imbar

are they sending it to our personal e-mail?

emag-

i was accepted, these are my stats:

Science GPA: 3.75

PreReq GPA: 3.75

NET: 100 math, 85 or 88 reading (i can't remember)

i have volunteered at a free clinic, and also at a hospital

my interviewer didn't actually ask about my health care experience, she was really interested in my other activities. i'm a part of an organization called W.H.O.O.P. (women helping out other people), FAN (future aggie nurses), and HOSTS (helping one student to succeed, a mentor program at a local elementary school for at-risk kids) she actually seemed very interested in HOSTS and told me that she thought it was a great thing and put a star next to it on my resume.

are they sending it to our personal e-mail?

i got it at the mail address that i listed on my application

Kimmy- what was you rmath and reading on the NET not the combination

that's making me nervous as well!

OMG, looking at everyone's volunteer experience, I'm never going to get into UT. I'm applying for Fall 2010, and I have a 4.0, and I know I'll do well on the NET (I'm a great standardized test taker) but I work 40-50 hours a week so I don't have time to volunteer. Did anyone get in without health care experience or volunteer work?

Congrats to those who did get in and hugs to those who didn't.

Wannabetxnurse,

I was accepted into the program for Spring 2010 also, and I had no previous health care experience or volunteer work. So, don't be discouraged. There is hope for you as well!

I just wanted to say Congratulations to all who have been accepted!!!

I just wanted to say CONGRATS! To everyone who made it in. My status has not changed and I have not received any emails. I wish you aLL luck in the Spring!:yeah:

I got in and the only volunteer experience I have is setting up events to raise money for some local families and the place I work for does an annual event to benefit St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.

I thought I was the only one who didn't have any health care experience!
