UT houston spring 2010 hopefuls

Published

hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.

Can't wait to hear from others.

I want this soooooo bad and my grades are awesome this NET test was killing me for some reason. Just the Predicting outcomes...so to make a 97 Math 76 Reading it was party time for me last night.....I am hurting a little bit today  LOL. I am so happy I could scream.....

Sounds like everyone's interview went well.

I finally got found a CPR class and will start my Hep B shots tomorrow. So ready for December to get here...my prereq classes will finally be over!:D:D:D:D:D:D

OH! I had a question about this CPR class. The one I registered for is 8 hours. I thought it would be 4 or 5 but 8???? This is craziness. Is anyone elses CPR class this long?

Specializes in none as of yet, hoping for ped oncology!.

Mine was about 6 hours. I think the 8 hour courses usually include first aid training as well as CPR.

yeah i think that's how long a CPR class is supposed to last. did anyone get certified through american heart or does everyone need to be certified through them?

I think I got my certification from the Red Cross, not sure. I think as long as it is BLS for Healthcare Providers and not just Adult, Child, Infant you should ok.

Im taking my CPR class at a community college here in Dallas. It's the one for Healthcare providers.

My interview is tomorrow and I am so nervous. Thanks for those who posted previously about your interviews it does help a lot.

I just got done with my interview. It seemed to go well. The lady that walked me to where the interviewer was told be that they try to randomize the interviews. So they just split up which days everyone goes on. I got done quickly because I was interviewed at the beginning. The lady I interviewed with was nice I forgot her name. She had short blonde hair.

did anyone happen to ask how many applicants they had for the spring? i was going to ask ms. young on my way out but i totally forgot

I talked to her and I think she said around 900 were received and that 250 to 300 got/are getting interviews. did anyone else venture to ask?
