hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
yeah! that's my interview! :)but i'm trying to change it to a friday afternoon.... i'm not sure when they do interview though.... so that way i could drive to houston and stay home for the weekend. i wonder if they do interview friday afternoon though...
I don't know. I actually have class at that time, but I'm going to tell my professor I can't be there. I'm scared to tempt fate by trying to re-schedule lol!
Yeah, that makes sense. I don't want to give them a headache about rescheduling me if it's just over skipping a class.
Seriously, its so competitive, I'm scared to give them even the slightest reason to say, nope not her. Like, if it came down to me and somebody else, and I was the one who re-scheduled the interview, would they say "Well... she couldn't even re-arrange her schedule for our interview sooo..."
Paranoid, I realize, but just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...
Congratulations to all that have received an interview letter. I have not received one yet, but I am hopeful. I didn't take the NET until August 22 so I know there will be a wait for me. I am so excited to see so many people on here with GOALS in life. I am a true believer in destiny and I don't believe in coincidence: we all will end up at the university that is best for us. Again, congrats to those that are farther along in the process and to the rest of us...happy waiting:grn:.
BTW, I had an information session with one of the professors at another TMC nursing school in Houston and I have to strongly recommend it to anyone still applying to other schools. I was able to talk with some of the current students privately about their experience and it was eye opening. I was also able to see how advanced their facilities were and how things operate on a regular school day. Sometimes people show their best at an Open House. If you have the opportunity talk with a counselor and you might be pleasantly surprised at what you see!
