hi there, I'm a spring 2010 UT houston hopefull, I'm trying to see who else is embarking on this journey so we can support each other. I really enjoyed tracking the Fall 2009 class, and I hope we can do the same. I still have a few classes to take. I am currently taking chemistry. As of now my science GPA is 3.33, and overall gpa is 3.61. I am taking the net in May.
Can't wait to hear from others.
I had a 97 math 67 reading. So I feel ya. I need help with prediciting outcomes section because thats what I am messing up on big time. I am so upset over it. I dont have a Bachelors degree already so I am only able to apply to the traditional program which accept in the Fall and Spring only.
I'm a bit confused on the GPA description posted by a few that attended the info sessions.
Are there 3 GPA break downs? One for science, one for the 60 hrs of pre-nursing courses and then one overall encompassing everything? People have been posting their overall GPA but I'm not sure what they mean. Is this the GPA for the 60 hrs. required before you can enter the program? I wasn't aware that UTHSC paid any attention to your GPA in classes outside of the 60 hours of required pre-reqs. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me with this one!
If you have applied to UT u get a UTLINK ID in the mail. When you log onto UTLINK you will see that they have 3 GPA's for you. A Science, Nursing Pre-req and regular pre-req. The Science GPA is based on your science pre-requisites for nursing school. The Nursing pre-req GPA is based on all courses that are required for you to enter nursing school....history, art, philosophy etc. The regular GPA is stuff you have taken that is not a pre-req for nursing school. For instance if you have a business degree....all of the courses you took for business would fall under that category. I believe that your Science GPA and Nursing pre-req GPA carry the most weight. All 3 matter though, but those are the 2 I think they care the most about.
What was your score if you don mind sharing? What were your areas of concern? I take mine again tomorrow.....4 times!!!!!!!!!! Stay with it! I am determined to fix this no matter how many tries it takes. I have been doing tons of predicting outcomes today and I feel that I am getting those now so hopefully it will help. I am so close

I spoke to UT and the lady said that the last two classes had at least 70/70 on both sections of the NET. She said that less than that does not mean you will not be considered. It just depends on what the applicant pool they have. Either way , all NET tests dates are full. I will have to wait to apply again. My math was 68.
