Anyone here applied already?
Have you taken the NET exam?
Natatat- We are in the same boat. I start getting my hopes up but then I just picture all those W's on my transcript. They're all 3 years ago or older but there's just so many : (
I don't know what I was thinking back then! I'm happy to hear you got into TWU. I was a class short so I couldn't apply. My back up plan is community college. I'll be happy to just get in somewhere with all the dang W's.
UTMB is strict with Ws
Do you guys think that if you got accepted in UTMB, you will more likely to get accepted in UT Houston since
they are both University of Texas?
@skygurl
what did you say about your Ws in your supporting statement in UTMB if I don't mind asking?
1 more week
1 more week
until MAIL TIME!
I wish we all get in!
Anyone started in their scholarships hunt?
I talked to an admissions counselor on Monday afternoon (Mar 22) because my application got all screwed up. I applied for the Accelerated program way back in November (I already have a BS in Neuroscience with minors in German and Chemistry from Baylor University). I am currently finishing my pre-reqs at University of Houston and sent UT a transcript on Dec 1, which was the application deadline. They received it and processed all of my transcripts. However, when I requested another transcript be sent to UT from UofH back in January, it was never processed. Either that, or the school just never actually sent it. However, I was completely unaware of this... I emailed UT asking about the status of my application in February with no response.
So, needless to say, I was thinking for the past 3 months that my application was complete and that maybe I just hadn't heard anything from UT yet... until I found this thread about 3 weeks ago. I contacted UT as soon as I could and Brandi (bless her) from admissions told me that they only had me down as 28 hours completed (i have 46) and never received my updated transcript from UofH. I sent an electronic copy while I was actually on the phone with her and it was processed within 3 days.
I called back, like I said, this past Monday to check the status of my application and this is what she explained to me. The admissions council is still reviewing all of the applications, both accelerated and traditional because the applicant pool was so large. They will be having meetings all through next week deciding on admissions. Once they have completed that first round, they will begin to take into consideration other applications with special circumstances (late applications.. like mine.. which shouldn't have been!! , rescheduled interviews... etc). Brandi basically explained to me that if your application meets their minimum requirements, that it will be considered, despite any other factors, such as being late as is the case with mine.
I have already been accepted to Baylor (Louise Herrington) Nursing School in Dallas and have until April 12th to reply, so I really hope that I hear something (whether bad or good) from UT soon!!!
My GPAs are:
Undergrad: 3.19
Nursing: 3.73
Science: 3.68
Net: Math - 98, Reading - 88
I wanted to share that all with you for those of you that are still waiting to hear back. They haven't made any final decisions yet, but they will notify you all about some sort of decision sometime near the end of next week (Mar 31-Apr 2)
Good luck everyone!
Hi all! I just got accepted to the Accelerated (Bacc2) program that starts in May. I found out I got accepted on the 12th, and we got acceptance emails last week. our packets arent being sent out until april 1st. we were supposed to get packets march 15th. Just wanted to help you guys with your timeline. Good luck to you all!
Congrats on getting in to some other places you guys. UT is the only BSN program I applied for so fingers crossed. I did get my acceptance letter FROM MONTGOMERY, so im excited about that, and it calms me to know I have a place somewhere:)
try to take it easy this weekend.
sorry, sorry, sorry!
Thanks for the info iislessthan3you!! This is really beginning to frustrate me b/c they are doing it so much different than than year or 2007 when my friend got an interview. Also as far as rescheduling interviews, I got told in 2007 when I got an interview but had my wisdom teeth out, I tried to reschedule & the dates weren't working & the school finally told me that I couldn't go past a certain date that they have a set cut off each year & this year which I heard they did that last year too but it seems this year they're breaking that rule which I know the pool is bigger but I heard that's why they started interviewing earlier.
Guess we just have to wait it out another nerveracking week!! :) Good luck everyone!!
