UT Houston (Fall 2014 applicants)

Published

Hello Future Nurses,

Wanted to know if anyone was preparing to take the Hesi a2, and or applying to UT Houston before the Jan. 15, 2014 deadline for Fall 2014???? I would like to form a study forum!!

reesespieces27 am looking for an apartment and roomates as well.

Me too! I know the university has some apartments but apparently there is a wait list for them.

I thought overall GPA counted because the website states:

So maybe the overall GPA is a part of the overall academic achievement?

You may be right. In my case, I'm glad they didn't dwell too much on my past academic history. My first two semesters I dropped most of my classes and failed a few. I ended up with an overall GPA of 3.3 for my BBA, but that was after working hard and retaking multiple classes. I'm just glad to have gotten in and that my work post degree (most pre-reqs and all science classes) were taken into account when making a decision.

I haven't received anything today, nor have I received an evaluation. My biggest fear right now is that there is a mistake that would cause me to be overlooked for possibly not meeting the prereq requirement. I REALLY hope they send emails out tomorrow. I am sure I am not the only one waiting on pins and needles right now. Julia_Ann, did you happen to notice if there was a lag in emails being sent out for Summer acceptance? My poor husband is looking at me like I have completely lost my marbles. Haha!

I think they send the acceptances out in waves. For summer, a lot of us were notified on Feb 28th, then some at the end of the first week in March, and more recently I know of one person that was notified on March 20th.

imaanali.. i will have to check,,

Just a quick tip: UT housing is the cheapest around the med center but a LOT of crime happens there! If you plan on living within 5 miles of the med center it's going to be expensive

has anyone been able to find the fb group for our class? If you have can you add me. Thanks!!

Me too please, Cassidy. I can't PM you...

To those of you having trouble finding the Facebook group:

I had trouble finding it too until I tried searching for just "UTHSC Houston"

Then I was able to scroll down through the groups that showed up until I found "UTHSC Houston SON Class of December 2015"

And for whatever reason, It wasn't working on my phone. I had to use my computer.
