I did officially get accepted about a week and a half ago then declined the offer. Just an update! Congrats everyone that got off the wait list!

I have not been keeping up at all with this thread, and did not go back to read the last 15 or so pages I have missed. I wanted to mention, for the people still waiting for answers, that I received a call from UTMB yesterday and I am apparently ranked first to get off the wait list, currently. I was also told some faculty will be out of the office till the very end of July, so I might not receive a call until then. I will be declining if I do end up getting in for the fall as I am attending UTHSC-Houston. Anyone that is on the wait list, get ready! (: I believe they will be pulling off from it more at the beginning of August! You may be going to nursing school in the fall! (: (: I hope that brightens someones day. (:
  3. 1. No they are not. As long as you meet these requirements regarding pre-reqs: "To be considered, you must complete at least 40 hours of the required 60 hours of prerequisite work by the program application deadline. 8 hours, of those 40 hours, must be from the science prerequisites of: Human Anatomy and Physiology , Microbiology, Chemistry. If you are admitted into the program ALL 60 hours of prerequisites must be completed by the start of the program." ^Quote from UTHealth website 2. I got an 88% overall on the HESI, and a 950 on critical thinking. I had a 3.67 GPA when I applied. 3. I don't think anything alone is the deciding factor. It is a combination of things, and it is something I don't think anyone has quite figured out completely. There are many theories, but there is really nothing clear cut about the "deciding factor." With my experience, that is true with all nursing schools. 4. I personally think my HESI critical thinking score got me in, along with consistent straight 4.0s my last few semesters. What brought my GPA down was a combination of first semester in college and dual credits from high school. But honestly that is just a guess.
  4. Girl, there must be something we are missing. I got wait listed at UTMB and got accepted to UTHealth... Soo odd. And your stats are a little high than mine. The only difference is I got a 950 on my CT on the HESI, but still...
  5. What were your HESI scores?

Very disappointed with UTMB. After over EIGHT weeks from my interview date (Interviewed the very 1st day of interviews, February 10th) they finally decide to let me know something. I am waitlisted for Fall of 2014. I have sent many emails that no one responded to; Emails I did receive responses for were answered in an unprofessional manner. I was told the day of my interview that I would hear back in approximately 2 weeks, MAX 4-6 weeks. I will be declining if I am accepted off the waitlist. I am attending UTHealth in Houston (as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago.) Although, my experience with UTMB was not good, they do have a great program! Good luck and congrats to all that will be attending! (:

I got my acceptance to UTHSC in Houston a couple of days ago! (: Since it has been almost 7 weeks from interview at UTMB, and they have not responded to my recent emails... I have made a close to definite decision to attend UTHSC Houston even if UTMB accepts me at a later date. @raidergirl95: I have been trying to reply to your PMs. I think you need to delete some messages again! I'm not ignoring you on purpose!
  8. I'll send you both the link in a PM. Didn't think of that... (: EDIT: @rmant I think I see you in there now! @paola0630 I will send it to you! Sorry I haven't been on my computer all day!
  9. Pre-Req: 3.73 Science: 3.67 Overall: 3.60 HESI: 88% CT: 950 It is the first day of acceptances, don't panic yet! (:
  10. You can PM me your name and I'll invite you. (:
  11. I made the Facebook group! (: Search: UTHSC Houston SON Class of December 2015

It indicates nothing on mystar, just my circle. I had to email to see what was going on, and I got the "on hold" answer. It was very vague though. I suppose that is still what is going on. I wish I was given more information.

Well today marks 6 weeks from my interview date, February 10th. I was told a decision would be made in approximately 2 weeks, at my interview. I was told by another admission staff member that the absolute max would be 4-6 weeks after my interview date.
  15. I didn't mean to worry anyone with my post about having an admissions hold and it possibly being related to when I got my evaluation. It was just a thought about maybe it was how they were doing evaluations. I don't think it indicates in any way if your in or not, so I don't think anyone should worry. Maybe the people who don't have holds, but have evaluations don't have any other documents that are needed from them? I don't know! The two could also be completely unrelated, like @Mallory86 and @vuhnyse said their dates don't seem to correlate at all!
