  1. I’m currently working on applying to school, and have interviewed (where I was told I have strong clinical experience), but many people in the Neuro ICU I worked with have gone on to CRNA school, with varying degrees of experience. Most of us waited until at least two years, but I know of at least one person accepted with 15 months at the time of application/interview. We work in a level I trauma/teaching hospital, and have a wide variety of patients with varying degrees of acuity in our ICU. I will add that it’s important to have leadership skills on your unit, like committee involvement, and/or charge experience. That helps you be more competitive, and highlights your leadership abilities. Good luck!
  2. Hope it went well! I interviewed Monday afternoon. It was much better than I expected, but I don’t feel like I had the chance to answer some of the questions as thoroughly as I wanted. Otherwise, I suppose it’s just a wait and see now, and hope they liked what they heard. Unfortunately, everyone who comes through is very qualified already, so I tried my best to minimize my awkward interview skills, haha. Good luck to those still waiting to interview!
  3. Congrats nurseravenclaw! I wouldn’t lose hope yet; they seem to be spreading out the invites somewhat. I got my email last Tuesday afternoon. I wonder how many people they’re interviewing, and how to best prepare?
  4. Did you check your spam? Maybe they’re sending things out over more than one day?
  5. Oh, no, I’m sorry to hear that! I wish you the best, and if you applied elsewhere, I hope you hear more positive news!
  6. Check your emails, y’all! I got an interview invitation! Hopefully I won’t make a mess of it, haha
  7. I’m in Houston right now, but am moving to Chicago. I hope to hear something soon! Does anyone know how long it takes from application closing to interview invitations?
  8. Awesome! I wonder when/if we’ll hear anything about interviews? Let me know if you hear anything! Are you in Chicago?
  9. Has anyone applied for the fall 2020 admission cycle? Just wondering if there was anyone else out there?
  10. I know no one wants to give specifics on the interviews and interview questions on here, but could someone maybe PM me some information? I'm applying for 2020 admission, since we are relocating to Chicago from Houston, and would like to try to be as prepared as possible in case I get an interview. I come from a neuro ICU in a level I trauma center, have three and a half years' experience, got a 307 combined on my GRE with a 4.0 writing score, graduated cum laude from nursing school, and have a previous BA, have my BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and CCRN certifications. Hoping to get an interview in the first place! Any help would be appreciated, and I didn't find a thread with the 2020 app cycle.
  11. I liked how relaxed it was. I felt pretty good about it, but that doesn't mean anything with me. Just hoping to hear something good back this week! How was everyone else's?
  12. I interviewed on Monday, and they told me I would hear something in a week or two. I figured that was them blowing me off, but who knows? :)
  13. I would definitely appeal anyway, and you never know. I've heard of them accepting students back in our program (not sure where you go), so it isn't impossible, and if you don't try, the answer would definitely be no. You don't have anything to lose at this point, so definitely try appealing. I'm so sorry that this happened, and to be this close too. Let us know how your meetings go, and I hope people have good advice for you too!
  14. I got an email Wednesday and had the same link to sign up for an interview time. The posting closed on 11/20, so you can't see it anymore
