Hello Future Nurses,
Wanted to know if anyone was preparing to take the Hesi a2, and or applying to UT Houston before the Jan. 15, 2014 deadline for Fall 2014???? I would like to form a study forum!!
This is my first post ever. I'm driving myself crazy as well. I did call Registrar's office today because I have not received an evaluation letter and there is a yellow triangle next to my name. They said I was fine and the triangle is because I am still taking classes and need to submit my transcript when Im done. She asked me if I had gotten an email. Sadly, I said no. She said that emails were still being sent out (Yay, thought I would share for those still waiting). She said when I get the email, that I have to respond within 48 hours if I accept or not. She did not say what it was in regards to or when I would receive the email. Hoping thats good new. I'm trying to stay hopeful. Does anyone know what she meant about 48 hours?
I believe UTH accepts 120 students per semester (at least that is what I remembered from the last time that I went to an info secession). I definitely don't see you having any problems getting accepted. Your HESI score is one of the highest that I have seen on here so far. I believe there is someone on here that has been accepted with an 84 HESI score. I have heard that UTH is VERY random with how they accept students and from reading past posts.
Adding to the freak out...
Hesi 96
CT 900
Cum GPA 3.5
Prereqs 3.7
I also have the yellow triangles since I am still taking classes but don't see why I haven't gotten an email yet! I emailed yesterday with no response not sure if I should call or wait and see if I receive an email in the next few days
I thought overall GPA counted because the website states:
Generally, applicants to the upper division Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are considered on the basis of the following criteria:Completed application
Grade point average in prerequisite course work
Science grade point average
Overall academic achievement
TOEFL for applicants whose native language is not English and have not graduated from an English-speaking university
The HESI A2 Entrance Exam
So maybe the overall GPA is a part of the overall academic achievement?

Me too! Still waiting. I have a 92% overall on HESI with a 900 in CT. I'm sure all my GPAs are above 3.0. Not sure how much over. I'm so nervous. I can't sleep or eat much right now cause my stomach is in knots!! Praying without ceasing!!
