Oh goodness, I'm not sure if I remember correctly and don't laugh lol. Overall GPA was like a 3.2 Science 3.6 HESI I got over a 90 on every subject with a 950 in critical thinking! Not great..you wouldn't think I'd be kicking nursing school's butt with those stats! I know I didn't! I thought I was going to flunk out and be dumber than everyone, but nope! You guys can do it! It is all how you apply yourself! :)

Hi there, LOL, i do not want to see those threads. Such a stressful time! I applied for fall 14 and didn't get in. Reapplied for spring and got waitlisted and admitted for the summer! Let me tell you I am doing great here. So do not feel bad. It doesn't mean if you will succeed or not. Sometimes I still feel dumb at times but this is a learning process! First class begins at 8am I think and some exams will start an hour earlier at 7am. I used to live far from the school and I would take the park and ride to school. I have recently moved closer to school, about 10 minutes away, and I still take the metro bus, but it is awesome being so much closer and avoiding all the traffic!

Hey y'all, I am about to start my 3rd semester (S1) at UTHealth! Do not worry about GPAs and scores! I was wait listed and admitted at the last minute! My GPA was not all that great but my HESI score was pretty good! I am doing very well and I know some with perfect 4.0 GPAs and scores that dropped out or failed and are held back a semester! Only you will determine what happens and the end result! I am now doing an externship at a top hospital in the med center! You don't have class everyday and you will have some labs everyday and some a few times a month. It is definitely fast paced but doable if you put work into it! We laugh, we cry, we go insane at times, but at the end of the day we pull through to the next semester! You can do this! Remember if you do not get in the first time try again! I know so many who did not get in the first time and are doing amazing now! Let me know if you have any questions, don't worry about the holds too much. The office does a pretty good job at getting it done before the deadline! I hope I can help ease some of the stress a bit! :)

Hi all, I applied for fall 2014, rejected. I re applied for spring 2015, waitlisted and then rejected. I received a call today saying they have a spot open for summer 2015, but I'm not sure if I should take it or not. I had kind of made my peace with the rejections and moved on thinking nursing just wasn't for me anymore. I'm not really sure what to do but I have to decide tomorrow!

How do I go about reapplying? Do I have to create a new application?

But the TEAS has to be taken before then? I feel like I won't have enough time to study for it.

I wanted to apply for Spring 2015 but I have not taken the TEAS (just HESI) so I will be waiting until summer.

Well, I called the school to request a transcript evaluation so that I could see if I needed to work on something to improve my chances and they informed me that they haven't received one transcript. I called my school because I know they sent it and they show me the confirmation of the transcript sent electronically. I'm so upset because that is probably the reason I didn't get in. That transcript had my A's in A&P 1 and 2. I called again and still they could not find it. I'm so devastated. I had already been done with all my classes before I applied and I had a green circle. This time I'm going to be on top of everything even if I become annoying!!!!

Bad news here for me I am devastated and will spend the night bawling. But gonna keep on trying. Does anyone have any tips on the TEAS V? I will be attempting at UTMB also. Good luck all.

Same here! This will be the longest week ever! I already am driving myself insane but continuing to pray!! :)

I saw the stats and I had to do a double take. I would assume they would have corrected it but maybe not. Who knows? I wonder if they will be sending acceptances out throughout the week or in one day they will send out all of them. I heard that they send out denials first? I'm just so paranoid. I think I've gained 5lbs from emotional eating. Lol.

It is really making me a nervous wreck. Lol. Now we have to wait over the weekend. I wish we knew how they choose students. I read in some thread someone got in with way below GPA requirements. And then some other had perfect GPAs with great Scores and they got denials. I really think a machine does all the work.lol. Good luck to all of us still waiting!!!
